itz a nice thought to think that IPL provides economic growth and development of India.
somebody earlier had mentioned that IPL had opened a lot of job oppurtunities for youngsters.does that mean if the govt conducts more IPLs the whole issue of unemployment will vansih from this country? IPL had given jobs to only a few cheer leaders who comes in to add to the glamour quotient of the game.
however, IPL adds money to BCCI's kitty and that will add up to the government's tax earnings. but i dont think it will lead to economic prosperity of India or for that matter any country.

well,
all the revenue from tourism is good but since it is moving to south africa, advertising revenues are taking a big hit, 330 cr. . that's a huge loss to bcci and specially after the champions league was scrapped, I think bcci is in a very difficult position.
