Does Colleges Matter For doing MBA in long term

I Disagree~

Better unversity gives a wider scope in the cooperate world. Better known universities widens your chances to be in a better place in the future.

This is what I feel~ Please post yo vies on the same.
 
yeah u r right...but i feel its d induvudual talent tats matters d most...yur 1st placement depends on yur college...but yur fut placement depends on yur prior work not d college u passed out frm
 
a good college has good brand name, good faculty, good curriculum, good interactions with the industry and ultimately these all lead to good placements.
some new colleges having all these but not having good placements need to wait as things will grow over time and industry will recognize them coz of their efforts.
 
According to me for long term college does not matter, if you are doing MBA. To my mind college matters only for first placement after that matters is the work you have done in your job, and the No. of years you have worked for...
 
In my opinion, College/Institute does matter. the surrounding. The Students of that level, Teachers and finally placements.. IF u look @ the other Low Instituets, u will find that there r not enough faculties, even visiting faculties r not that much good, Classes r not conducted regularly and the students r not much Enthu..
 
your college matters to get yourself a good start. it very important to have a good start in your carrer . i do not regret that individual talet are also important . if you dont get a good start you have to work a little too hard dude and in todays competative place getting a good start and access to big corporates is important
 
Yes it does matter a lot, as to get into good MBA college is diffcult and then u will get good placement and Package to start with.
 
Yes it does matter bcoz once u hv da tag of a good college irrespective of wat time in ur life u go 4 whichever job there is always a added advantage ! N it gives a betetr impression 2 da employer so it does help in a long run 2!

as far as my opinion, COLLEGE MATTERS THE MOST.

yes i fully agree with above.
 
College only matters in terms of 1st placement...if u gettin via college and also the faculty and curriculum do matters ....bt only in the initial stage .Once u get ur 1st placement its only ur performance and skills dat matters so far as top placements are concerned .
 
I beleive that your MBA school plays a crucial role in the education you receive and the market value atttached to you after you graduate from the course. It should be better to even give up a year or two and gain some additional work experience rather than settle for a substandard institution
 
I think the college name definitely matters if its among the top colleges...it gives you a feel good factor... if u are an ISB/IIM grad, you will always be more confident and you will command respect...
