Does Colleges Matter For doing MBA in long term

college plays an important role but matters to cetain extent.... but finally what seems is the individual's knowledge, calibre, enthusiasm, mind, n stamina... which counts in the end
Also it depends on individual's mind for studyin criteria
D way in which he/she wanna pursue for their career

I FEEL A GOOD REPUTED COLL DOES MATTERS AS THIS WUD GET U GOOD PLACEMENT THOUGH IN SHORT TERM BUT EVER IN FUTURE IF U GO AHEAD ALWAZ UR PREVIOUS JOBS XPERIENCE IS REQUIRED SO IT ALL GOES IN A LINK A GOOD COLLEGE A GOOD PLACEMENT A GOOD JOB N THN FOR NEW JOB A GOOD EXPERIENCE N IT CONTINUES SO ON......

college is d base for doin MBA in long term cz watvr we learn in MBA is the same college studies only n d only diif z d makin of projects n Group work learning...

i believe, at the initial stages, ur college gives u an edge but at the latter stage it's your performance that's take u at the top.

i think d discussion can 2 to subjective or personal 4 situation 2 situation.... as far institute is concerned yes it does matter 4 initial placement n attractive pay package which is evident by the no. of entrance exams conducted by respective institutes. well i agree 2 abby 2 an extent!!

yes college matters in short term,as it gives you good opening...but ultimately,if person is good enough ,he will make a good career

well having a good college does matter but what matters more is the course that you are getting in it because according to my personal experiences what i found that most of the people compromise on the course for college which is not a very wise thing to do as i found it myself so for all the mpites i would suggest give preference to course rather than the college

No, in the longterm it doesnt matter that much. Only what u have done after MBA is all that matters for moving ahead. No one can turn you then coz u hav done MBA from small college.

we can say in the shrt term but after ol everything depends on the individuals performance because college can help u only 2 some extent

In a world more and more dedicated to fast results and approval the first thing that will sound is the name of the places but in the end if you do not deliver....you will loose

its quite true that college does matter but wht one should keep in mind is that getting a good course is of equal importance because at the end of the day what matters is the course and not the college

i do feel college does matter for doing mba in long term.....coz wen ur goin to other countries they do see from which university and which college u have passed out from......also its an added advantage and looks good on ur C.V. ......u have an upper edge if u do mba from a good college.....but at the same time it depends upon ur capability to perform......[:)]

in my views college matters only in short term to get you the first job. when you are in the job for one year or more, then what you have done in job matters
