What changes would u like in our education system?

More practical methods of teaching should be implemented, class room facilities should be upgraded to make lectures more interesting, case studies an group discussions should be included as part of the curriculum

Instead of having state level exams..y not have a central level exam wherein students from all over the country take part ... get colleges/school they deserve..i know its a bit tedious process but will definitely help in examing true potential of every students

the cornerstone of good education is good professors the rest in not that important as long as the concepts that are imparted are updated and relevant.

for every course the system of admission process should be made uniform...there should be held only one entrance exam for a particular course. there is no point in having different entrance exams for admission in mba programs in management nstitutes.

Education in our country at a primary level suffers with internal contradictions. We don't have a common value system in place to teach children at an early age. The importance of National Identity and love to motherland is lacking. The History is just another subject of the curriculum. The education should be wholesome and not mere books. Less teachers is further accentuating the problem that we're facing. In France, All professors in public schools and universities are employed and paid by the state. The Ministry of Education is, by far, the largest employer in France and it is said that it is the second in the world (after the Red Army!). An outstanding feature of French education is the authority of teachers. The French don't regard childhood as an age of innocence but see it as an age of ignorance. Children must be set straight and corrected.

The recent initiatives by the government like Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan and right to education are definitely the steps in the right direction. But, this all has to be backed by strong implementation and accountability. The partnerships with the private players would bring a degree of professionalism to our education.

The basic change is that mugging or cramming up should not be encouraged. The assessment of students should not be on just few days of exam but on a more wide spectrum concerning his whole personality.Innnovations and creativity must be developed....

I would post a article on written by me on our educational systems. In India reading is happening not Learning. If a person learns something he would apply in all walks of life but he just reads for the sake of marks.

Education System should be based on multi dimensional learning and within the academics there is a need to relate and connect all the various subjects of learning, looking at them as they would be applied in real world - not just as subjects of theoretical learning

Change in system? first get in to system and then only can it be changed... and the system itself is politics.. neta ji... do we youngsters see it as a career option?

Robert Kiyosaki from Rich Dad Poor Dad view is good. The problem of education now is they not teach us how to make money, how to become bisness owner and investor... they really focus on be a good employee and working for someone else.

This is the biggest mistake in education now.

education should be promoted in rural areas ......
as well as govt. should focous on that type of education by which a person in can get employment (i.e. skill oriented education)

I feel the most important part is not getting an employment, but to encourage the student to be able to 'think' on their own. Sometimes I feel this is not emphasized. Getting a job is, I believe, a by product after that.

There is nothing we can change here unless we change.. we people are the best critics and often blame others for any improvement. why cant we do something and start a new beginning in our country
