What changes would u like in our education system?

Less of it. Stricter discipline allowed from teachers, more parental involvement in the child's education and home lives. Also, dress codes should be mandatory in all schools like they were years and years ago. I had a much better education growing up with a dress code--it puts every child on an even playing field, if you will. No competition for new/better clothing, and no worries about kids being at school in provocative or inappropriate clothing. I would like to see people be held accountable. Both parents and teachers. We have moved to a systems where tests are how the education system is judged.

Instead I think there needs to be parent involvement. I think a couple parent teacher conferences are not enough. Parents need to know what their children are learning and be a part of the school community.

Also, teachers should have the freedom to teach beyond the test. Their should be time for discovery and exploration. They should also be able to have control of the class room.

I think all of these areas would help improve the communication between families and faculty. I also believe these changes would help hold the children accountable for their own education. After all, that's why they go to school right? get rid of the discipline problem kids are they disrupt the learning for the others and drain the system

dont force so much academincs on those that cannot handle it

bring back vocational studies...this may help to resolve my first two points. not everyone is into the academics. we need to excite them ito other fields as well

Totally agreee i do realize that education system needs a radical change that will reciprocate its necessity throughout the sessions ...

should be more related to the real life scenarios.currently the courses are very far fetched from real life issues in corporate life

The Indian education system needs to be altered with the passage of time. The studies in schools and colleges should be more practical oriented especially in colleges because students move ahead after their college life to build their career .The curriculum in the colleges should include industry and company visits particularly in case of commerce students as it will enable them to practically know about the actual working conditions within an organisation. Moreover, students should be encouraged in schools and colleges to answer a question on their own if it carries substance and not necessarily completely mug up the answers to get good marks.

Equl Right of Education for All
we should introduce a system which would enable our society to spread education to all section of society. Also the govt should provide subsidiery or conseccion of education expenses. Devloping a mandate to treat all section of society equal for education may work

the basic education equal to every single child and its the duty of both government and all wealthy individual okkk one cant afford to spend time on this issue but single rich individual or govt atleast can provide the framework and financial security to 1-2 children

As per my opinion there are 2 factors which needs more focus in our education system.

1. Focus more on Communication Skill.
---------------------------------------
As per todays newspaper, there is around 1 million jobs available in the market mostly from IT/ITES/BPO sector. But the major problem that the companies are facing in hiring process is, people are not having communication skill to handle their Clients. And the main reason for this is Communication Skill is not given major importance in our educational system. After passing graduation also, there are many students who are not comfortable with english Speaking.

2. Focus on practical world and not the bookish knowledge.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Our education system is more focused on textbooks and marks scoring, rather than focusing on practical world. I think that in the curriculum, a very small small projects focusing on understanding the practical world should be included. Such kind of courses is in Practice in Pennsylvania (US) schools.

hi every one

recently maharastra state govt. give instrutions to every school. that no one failed upto 8th std. only grade has sufficant to childern for passing.which is important for every parents who child not good in study so they can take education upto 8th std.

only bookish knowledge doesnt help...we should be allowed to see how the industry works..only internships dont help much...v shud b encouraged to do part time workand companies should be willing to take us in

Introduce more practical classes...ban the theory classes....Nobody's interested in Theory classes...The classes should be fun....where everyone feels like interacting instead of writing exams n exams....I am doing my MBA from a coll where I have written 122 exams in my 2 years...at the end of my course wt do I learn:SugarwareZ-281:.....I dont know

Education system should be based on talent and marks and not on the basis of caste system.

It should encourage innovation and creativity.

facilities ruins the development. if you give challenges then only one can develop them selves. Hence totally agree that "Education system should be based on talent and marks and not on the basis of caste system. It will encourage innovation and creativity."

Necessity is the mother of innovation.
