What changes would u like in our education system?

I feel the education system what we have is very monotonous in nature.. it should be more interactive and more practicality in nature. As our ancient education even though it was a gurukul system it was more practical which is missing now in our basic education system but only implemented when they take up masters degree or bachelors degree
 
The concentration is always on studies at the school level and as far as college goes, it is on textbook matter. Practical application and explanation of concepts is almost nil. Both these issues have to be dealt with immediately. Most of us have textbook knowledge but how this knowledge is to be applied to our practical lives---most of us don't know i'm sure. Education system should be about allround development of the child-including sports.
 
The concentration of competence on grades is something which will not help students when they move out of their schools and colleage walls..the educational system needs to bring in the concept of our ancient educational reforms of the nalanda university where students were given exposure to different cultures, arts, literature, technology, medicine and even languages. The intercultural dimensions broadend the perspective of students that helped them think out of box!

it should be restructured with more practical then what in books.
 
Everybody shud have the right to study, nd at d basic level it shud focus on harnessing d talents in built rather than forcing young minds to mug up facts nd vomit d same in d xm!!
 
more focus should be given for practical part rather than theory.
Small projects should be part of curriculum from 1st standard onwards.
Up-gradation of syllabus is very important.

I JUST WANT TO SAY ..............PURSUE EDUCATION WITH DEGREE....AND NOT JUST DEGREEE FOR THE SAKE OF HAVING IT
 
i feel the focus should be on primary level education so that the basic sense of literacy is gained by every1 and this can realky bolster the indian system on the whole.
 
I would say that the curriculum taught in Indian schools are very good.So its not necessary to change it in a big way.We need to change the way the subject has been taught in schools.Technology & Internet can used effectively to show the practical applications for students.More to it,we need first make sure children in rural areas are enrolled in schools and they attend it w/o fail.Govt should try to reduce school fees and college fees which will aid in under-privileged students joining the schools.We need eliminate the caste-based quota system and we must move towards merit-based quota system.

one of the major issues in the system is we focus on improving higher educational facilities. We try and up the ante of IITs and IIMs etc. Our primary aim should be to strengthen the primary education system. We would be better off with every kid having good fundamentals rather than a few having good advanced knowledge.
