TATA's People's car.....boon or bane???

It is a boon for the Great Indian Middle Class. As Ratan Tata, the car was born out of seeing an Indian family of four riding on a scooter, this is surely going to satisfy the hunger for a lot of Middle class indian families, for whom the car otherwise was a distant dream. It is going to raise the standard of living of the country's middle class as a whole. On the flip side, the neysayers who predict a massive traffic congestion and widespread environmental problems, are being retrogressive.
Ratan Tata delivered what he promised. And so shall the TATAs for eternity.:SugarwareZ-191:
 
well ...this is just another car and does not deserve that much hype...
it is really cost effective car ...but at the same tiem ur have to compromoise in almost all the aspect of the car ....
but the cost positioning of the car is so good that it is bound to attract people who wants to pay less...
if u really wanna compare just go thorugh Yeni to be launched by mahindra + renault...i would say that is a really great car

Its USD 2300 $ and IMO .. Mahindra Yeni looks way way better than the NANO. Differentiating features are yet to be announced.

Ofcourse the pioneers for a budget car are the TATA's but the mahindra yeni is just soo tempting.

I THINK IT WILL BE A BOON BECAUSE OF FUEL EFFICIENCY BUT BANE BECUASE ITS SO CHEAP THAT PEOPLE WILL RUSH TO BUY ONE
 
Mr. Ratan tata had took an decision , which changed the way if dreams of middle class people's , i appreciate this step of him i know how it feals when a car stops in side of ur scooter in very hot day and u just imagines that one day ill also sit in car and ill also not to bothered of this climate and ill also enjoy a long drive with my family...........:SugarwareZ-237:
 
the gap between the roads laid out and the no of vehicles that would roll out when nano comes into the market would prove to be a disaster
 
TATA NANO
Good concept but proven to be a flop show. I think TATA tried its best to make it a public car but in my view it was totally a flop. Reasons for that are-
1- Price of NANO its around 14000 on road with all taxes and formalities.
2- No advertising campaigns which should be done by TATA.
3- Bad quality of outer body and parts peoples opinion is that they would like to go for second hand maruti 800 rather than going to purchase new NANO.
4- I think there is also lack of proper marketing of car.

I think that above mention reasons are enough to support my argument that it was overall a flop show

Bajaj is also working on the budget car and it will be priced around 1 Lakh. ( Acooriding to news)
 
Dear you know that every coin has two sides tail as well as head everything will not be correct dear just like Tata Nano is really a boom for india but not for the global warming. thks dear for writing this
 
i think its going to be hot favourite among the auto rikshawalas in most of the states. Baja is going to face a tough competion in the near future
 
while my heart goes for the nano, my head does not take at all the hype surrounding it on face value. Tata's are good at making trucks, but thay have not yet mustered the class attained by japanese car makers. Proof of it is in indica, safari models made by them. No comparison w.r.t fit, finish, performance, handling etc. My new indica 2007 zeta model developed electrical problem within two months and I had to retune it totally by the service center. The doors side plastic trims came out in eight months and the X of the Logo XETA has also fallen off while driving. You want me to believe about the nano and its performance. With such engineering expertise at their disposal, Sorry folks my vote is not for nano, though my heart may be wanting it.
