SHOULD SACHIN TENDULKAR RETIRE ???

I think only if he keeps playing continuously, to feature in every Indian match as a ritual i a problem. Amidst breaks like most International Players do, he wud do much better. That is the way they extended their careers. Sachin Has started it rather late.

Be it Lara, Wasim Akram, Mcgrath they all used to come fired up for big tournaments. They wont participate in all matches. As for Sachin be it Holland, Bangladesh and any new team tommorrow, he played as a routine task. He shud hav pulled off then.

Like to presume Still some cricket left though.
 
its not always that
sachin plays
but again
its not always the entire team also plays...............
we cant judge wats the positionon the pitch
 
sachin shud not retire...nt at alll....he still hs long way 2 go......still he has to push back ponting in tests....in terms of test avg...
 
Sachin should retire from ODis & Should concentrate more on Test Cricket as his experience is most useful in Test Cricket
 
if sachin really wants to get out of cricket respectfully keeping his era alive forever then the right time is coming october whn india is playing australia at home.good platform, best opposition to perform would make a good farewell....

coz so many young players coming in thre would be no place fr him in tne young odi side....although he should continue playing the tests but odi's, i m afraid is not his cup of tea nw....:SugarwareZ-064:
 
No. he shouldn't. But his role should be made more clear.
He should open and play attacking cricket. He is still capbale of playing like he used to before. He should put the fear of God in the opposition.
I feel a bit more aggression regardless of reputation is what is required.
 
I think he should retire as there r many young guns to waiting n he should only take retirement frm one dayers as v need lots of xperience in test matches....................................tc :)
 
I think Sachin should retire from odis after atleast 6 months, if not now........

like what brian lara n inzamam retires from odi cricket, sachin also shud think on his retirement ...........and he can play test till 2008-09.........but not more than that........

As we take a look at span of time of these 3 legends, we will get idea as sachin must retire now........otherwise in future he might get health problems.......

BRIAN LARA made his international debut in 1990 at the age of 21...and retired in 2007 World Cup.........

INZAMAM-UL-HAQ also made his debut in 1990 at the age of 20...and he also retired in World Cup 2007........

but, SACHIN TENDULKAR made his debut at international level at the age of 16 in 1989...........
If he thinks that its time of his retirement then he should retired now. If he think that he wants to play then board should force him to retire after six months
 
if sum1 goes by stats Sachin will play till he reaches 50...but his performance level are decreasing day bay day..n wrst part is Indian team relaxes wen Sachin plays in 11.. n if Sachin fails al goes waste...
 
He should definitely retire so as to keep his records and consistency far from anyother batsman. Due to lack of practise and constant surgeries made him bad and people are in ad nauseam on seeing him getting out for mere runs...

Note: I was a ardent fan of Sachin...
 
i also think that sachin should retire now... many young players are there who can play better and can get worldcup... take the example of dhoni... he got the 20-20 worldcup... he also believes that team requires young & energic players..

i have seen many times that sachin plays for records only.. if he is between 90-100 then he sticks there and plays 10 balls and get one run only... whts this???? is he playing for team india or for his own record????? in most scenario when team requires his run then he get back to pavellion very early between 0-10 runs...
 
All I want to say is that his days are over, he should pack his bags and leave the game gracefully...the future lies in the hands of young guns ,not old war horses....
 
no doubt he shud retire..but he is a gr8 strategist... can realy be a gr8 coach..

definitely not anytime soon... whatever it is, any sachin fan ll want him to play till th next world cup atleast
 
Not yet. He can be a great coach but he still has plenty to offer. but his manner of playing should change. he has to open and be far more aggressive than he is now. He is best when he is playing aggressive cricket. He and sehwag can really put the fear of GOd in the opposition. the two shd have in 10 overs 100 as target...sets up India nicely after that.
