[/b]Miracle, faith and hope can do wonders!!![/b]
Miracle happened with me as I got the chance to pursue my internship at “Essar Steel India Ltd”, but if you ask me personally it doesn’t really matters that with which company you are doing your internship as this is the period in which you come to know about the working culture of corporate world. It is the time when you learn how and where to apply your theoretical knowledge to get the things/work done in the best possible way. As this is the chance to learn the working culture and tactics of your field. I am pursuing MBA from IIPM, New Delhi and I had the dream to do my first internship in some big company to know how they become successful and how can I apply the same logic to make my career more successful. I was appointed in the “Finance & Accounting department” in the company. I was lucky to have great mentors as my supervisors as I have done my internship under Mr. Swetang Shah(Vice President of Essar Steel India Ltd),Mr. Mahavir Singhi (MBA,IIM-A,C.A) & Ms. Lahari Soni (Manager, Accounts dept.), seriously it was a enriching learning & experience one can ever have. I learnt the methods of data collection, interpretation, analysis and it’s use in various departments. I have done the project on “Working capital management & Ratio analysis” of Essar Steel India ltd. I have done the rigorous calculations and churned out the findings i.e.; Ratio of debt-equity, Current ratio etc. & the ways to enhance it. I presented my findings to Swetang sir and did offer my suggestion on the further growth of the company which was really appreciated by him. It was a great learning and I can say that I am ready for the further challenges in my life & to achieve further success.
