Forbes has published its annual list of the world's highest-paid male and female actors. In that list, 34 men were listed in the Forbes highest paid actors list, but only 18 women managed to mark their presence in that list. The ratio proves that women actors are given half the amount as compared to male actors. However, only one question that triggers right now is why the list of women only numbered 18 names, while the men's came to 34.

Natalie Robehmed, a media reporter at Forbes, told that the length of the lists differed because of the staggering gender pay gap. "The cut off was a matter of what was sensible while still acknowledging those making astronomical figures, " she said. In movies, far many more men than women earn double-digit millions - only four women made north of $20 million, while 21 men banked more than $20 million. With actors, there were so many above $10 million that it would have been remiss to curb it any shorter. She added.

With actresses, there were far fewer who made more than $10 million, so we decided to drop the barrier of entry. $6 million wound up being the entry point since only the top tier earns more than that. Below that number, the pyramid widens beyond the elite. She explained. Well, discrimination against women is not the trending topic of debate; this has been the trend all the time. Now, that needs to change.
