It wasn’t maneuver work for the selectors of BCCI to announce Indian Test squad against Srilanka, and the reins of captaincy is under Virat Kohli. His first test debut against Bangladesh was just impeccable and has the ability to lead the team from front.

There has been myriads of turmoil happened in Indian cricket team after the incredulous comment of MS Dhoni stepping down from captaincy and India’s faux pas defeat from Bangladesh. It will be challenge for Virat kohli but it won’t be strenuous to beat Srilanka with the present Indian squad selected for test series against Srilanka which is set to begin on August 12.

K.L Rahul failed to make up in the team for Bangladesh tour due to illness, have finally made its way this time, Cheteshwar Pujara too gets his place in the side. The most beaming news for Indian team is the return of exceptional and crafty sly off spinner Harbhajan Singh. The flabbergasted Ravindra Jadeja won’t be able to make it this time because of his poor performance; not only in one match but since long time he is struggling to keep up the pace.

The selectors took bold decision of not selecting any substitute wicketkeeper for all the three test match, Wriddhiman Saha (wk) will spearhead the command from behind the stumps. Here is the list of players finally making their way in test match against Srilanka.
