Facebook Unveils Service That Lets Users Share Their Locations

Facebook.inc introduced a service that makes it easier to share their whereabouts with other people making deeper push into the faster growing market. The feature call Places allows people to find friends and disclose their location. This feature allows to reach to users very easily. This new function is gonna have more comprehensive privacy policy. When users opt in to the service, their locations are only available to friends. They can choose whether to more narrowly share the information or post it broadly.

Although the service is currently only available in the US, Facebook said it will be rolling out the tool to other countries in the coming months.Facebook has partnered with other geolocation companies, including Gowalla, Foursquare, InCrowd and Yelp, to integrate their services in to Facebook Places.
