BPO Experience in MBA

Q: Is my 2 year BPO work experience relevant for admissions into B-Schools?

In general since there are many candidates from the BPO industry applying after their GMAT that there is a perception that BPO jobs are not good enough. If you can demonstrate through your essays your career progress and how you are different from others then definitely you have a chance over others. Lastly, admission in such schools is based on a number of factors: GMAT, work experience, education, diversity, extra-curriculum… So if you are weak in one focus on other areas to strengthen your profile.
In general however 2 years is too less for you to have a significant probability in getting through to a top 50 schools.

But than as its said that Bpo experience is not counted by many b-schools in India, its not the same in other univs outside it depends on case to case basis and job profile..

hey....according to my knowledge..bpo exp is not considered as an experience...thts wht a concellor told me....when i went for free concelling.....

Students who suffer financial crisis forced to choose BPO, is there any scope because listening BPO means the dark future and barren life. Well, why people get so much especially after hearing the word call centre. Please do help me in understanding about it. Actually my friend was wishing to do that because of lack of resources and financial crises.

The work experience of BPO do not consider for the MBA in India but upto my knowledge it is considered in some universities of UK. But it much more depend on your job profile such as you are in voice process or at managerial level.
