"BAN ON SMOKING" Campiagn..........!!!

Well, it is working for sure... Atleast to some effect after October 2nd, you don't have people blowing smoke on you when you are visting public places like malls, museums, shopping arcades, cinemas...something better for sure!

yes there should be a ban on smoking because it not only affects the person who is consumiong it but also the people surrounding him

Smoking should be banned as it is injurious to health of not only smokers but also people living with them.

Ban on smoking is a good step, but i would say if government want to ban smoking then it should go further & ban on sale of cigarettes & tobaccos.

Manuj

eat well ,sleep well & now
SMOKE WELL
So dear smokers if u guys r not quitter and really want to continue smoking plz do smoke but at a place where u can burn the lungs of only one person of the universe i.e. YOU

Definately not working... ! it may be banned in certain restaurants n other public places, but other wise, people are still at it...

indeed an appreciable step to spare society from this evil.. but in my opinion u cant make people quit smoking forcefully.. the target can only be achieved though spreading awareness !!

i thnk smoking shud be bannd publicly coz its not jus da smokers who get severely affected by it but also da passive smokers(ppl in da vicinity of da smokers) who can get dreadful diseases lyk tuberculosis. bt unles da ppl dont thnk for thmselves and act accordingly, no ban can ever b successfuL..

It is an impressive move and even if few people (say 1 %) of smokers follow this rule it will have an impressive cumulative effect.

Its a good effort but I also think it is a extreme too much by banning smoking on pubs etc specially when according to the rule (as people interpreted) you can't smoke on bus stand but can smoke on regular footpaths!

Yes ban on smoking is compulsory but it would be difficult for the people to quit it instantly because it is a kind of talab (necessity ) by taking some supplements like chewing gum it would be quitted

Ban on smoking in public reduces what is known as secondary smoking. People who do not smoke will have their exposure to ciga smoke greatly reduced and thus protecting their health.

In short term, no, it will or may not work in our country, because here we all enjoy flouting rules...and nobody cares or even dares to tell them if it is wrong! But then if proper publicity is done and people are educated over the time, then people may start caring about it.

Well I don't think that just by merely imposing ban on smoking is the solution to this problem. Getting down to the root of the problem we found out that the government is just incapable of completely putting ban on the sale of the cigarettes because the vast deal of revenue that is being generated by this sector is immense.
We have already witnessed the effect of ban on smoking didn't attracted the desired result. First government doesn't want people to quit smoking because if that would have been the case government could easily put ban on sale of cigarettes but this law is to prevent non smokers from passive smoking.
So government should invest in infrastructural development in the form of making smoking lobbies in public places first then they should implement the law and purpose would be served.

pretty impressive move...........................govt rocks......................id onno what i am sayin...........sorry guys.............
