"BAN ON SMOKING" Campiagn..........!!!

banning is a good initiative by the govt. but v need to see how far it is implemented ....d smokers n d ppl themselves wil hv 2 take initiative to make it a success

Anyway...the smoking ban was amazing when it came in. I'd say 40% of my peers (plus me) gave up smoking after last year's ban, so the additional amendments can only be good for everyone's health.

i think ther smokin at public places is nt good i mean if govt is bannin smokin at public places dats fine but gove shud also make som places for those smokers as almost 7 people out of every 10 ppl smoke........ so this shud also be taken ointo consideration by govt

well i must tell mate this is the best thing govt has done till now by banning ciag cause it hurts the ppl who not smoking more then who do

its manufacturing shud also be stopped acc to me indians health will increase by leaps nd bounds

Banning smoking is good in the sense that non-smokers wont have to suffer for other peoples(smokers) mistake.... But the govt should allow some kind of concession for the smokers too.... A kind of smoking zone...

banning smoking is good ..but only making a law and declairing it in newspaper and commercials is not enough to make an impact ... the ban imposed included an amount to be paid if found smoking in public areas or in cars... but is anyone looking at this .... i have seen a large number of people still smoking in their cars...strictness of application of rules is more important than just formation of one....though our government has taken the first step to success but it has to be followed by support for a real achievement...we should have our india as marryland..

before the imposing of ban on smoking in the public places it is prerequisite to make the smokers aware of its impact on the people around them.

i will ell you an incident. i was in a local bus and conductor was smocking, i asked him to stop he said get off the bus.. :)

smoking harms not only the active but the passive smokers as well like children ,pregnant ladies etc. thus it has been banned. but there's a section of the society which may be literate but are not educated so these impositions by the govt. are heared and forgotten. the manufacturers , the advertisers etc. must be targeted,as to prevent a wild plant to grow it must be taken out from the root itself!!

of course not .ppls know wt gud n wt bad.so govn need not to concern about it . der lots many issues on which govn can spend money n time.

i honestly feel it is a question of mindset rather than imposing laws.. but yes -spare the rod and you will spoil the child.

will not work much. in India, which is the law which is followed properly???? no one..... same will be the case with this...just policemen will get one more way to make money thats it........
