I'm looking to buy a laptop for my studies. I'll be soon going for MBA in the month of May. I'm looking for at the price range of 40 to 60 k. Your suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

i thinks acer is the best as i m using a set of acer mobile technology. it's cheper then to dell and toshiba. quality and new techonolegy is used. for student it is nice one.

Ya i agree that Acer is cheaper and it's more affordable for students. But i've heard that the motherboard is not good. And if you are looking at the budget of 40 to 60 k then it's not worth investing on Acer. Perhaps dell or Macbook would be a better choice. By the way i checked the site for apple. The starting price is 53k for macbook which i never thought. . . well it's good!

d best one 2 own shud be a lenovo...try d Y510 series..d display is gr8, luks vry classy, sound is gr8 n easy 2 work on d board, got an extended 3 yr warranty n costed me 58000 bucks bt worth it...d service is real quick n its features r gr8..check out at any store n u wud get it...

an ideal laptop would be of DELL or HP...since both are sturdy and have good upgrading options...
Please do not go in for ACER not that its bad but just that 60 k you can get a classy laptop of the above mentioned companies.

i am personally using ACER..Its sturdy but very heavy

Config that would be ideal for an MBA student:
2gb DDR 2 ram, 320 gb HARD DISK
1.9 ghz 2mb L2 cache
Webcam, Bluetooth and Wifi enabled

All the best!
Even am doin my MBA and through with the 1st year..
ALL THE BEST!

I recently bought a notebook (not a laptop). Its working amazingly. Let me describe its configuration and features-

Model: BenQ Joybook Lite U101

Processor: Intel Atom N280 (1.66 GHz/512 Kb cache memory)
Physical Memory: 2 GB
Hard Drive: 250 GB
Monitor: 10.1" LED display (16:9 aspect ratio)

1.3 MP webcam/WLAN/Bluetooth/USB DVD writer (portable)

Battery: 6 cell (It gives a backup of around 7 hrs!!!)

Weight: 1.2 Kg only.........!!!!!!

It comes with a OS of Linpus Linux Lite but you can change it to Windows XP very easily (for original XP you need to pay some extra bucks).

This notebook is working amazingly without any problem. It has such a good battery backup and is highly portable. I even also run photoshop in it without any problem.

It is priced around Rs 22,000/-.

You will also get mini's from HP(Rs 26,000/-)/DELL(Rs 28,000/-) but configuration will be very low (with 1 GB RAM and 80 GB Hard drive).

Any one want to buy a laptop can surely give it a try.

Goodluck..............!!

Dell, is one of the best laptop and it has got numerous features like:

1) Lasting Durability

2) Strength and Sophistication

3) Slim, Reinforced Displays

4) Critical Data Protection
