The money an Investor needs to pay as deposit to establish a position in the futures market.
Maintenance Margin :
This is somewhat lower than initial margin. This is set to ensure that the balance in the margin account never becomes negative
Mark To Market :
The daily revaluation of open positions to reflect profits and losses based on closing market prices at the end of the trading day.
