Each and every time elections take place, our politicians comes out with huge rallies, advertising and various other promotion activities. Lots and lots of public income is being spent on it and without any public disclosure.

So the question is should the government make the expenses made on pre election campaigns public??

I think that expenses of election campaigning by ruling party are bared by government and opposition parties are made by the funds of these parties. I think expenses on election campaigning should also be monitored and if our leaders are saving money by visiting by road or by train they should also minimize expenses on election campiagning

I think the maximum amount of election campaigning expenses is spend by parties on their on.

What we will do if it is mandatory to show amount of money invested for elections campaigns?
Before applying for elections, each candidate has to disclose the income details. Yesterday, I saw Deepak Nikhalje (Brother of Chotta Rajan) filled nomination for contesting election and disclose more than 4crs as income. He was the headline for yesterday, free publicity victim. Has anyone raised questions on his income source? To be frank, I myself donot have guts to ask on his income source. This is the case not only for Mr Nikhalje but for any other politicians as well.
Last time, with some of my friends, we do used the "RTI" act for getting information on the MP funds being used by our elected Neta. But, in vain, It was like they are running the system and we are morons on acting SMART.
From last few months, we are pressing for having "No Vote" button on the voting machine. Even Election commission had also realised the need, but it is waiting for our Parliament to implement it.
Asking questions is not a good job? Making people aware of the RIGHTS is the resolution of all problems.

doing business widout advertisement is like WINKING at a girl in the dark....that..u know...wat u r doing....nobody else..!

Wow... Great Question buddy ???

first o'all i wanna tell u that i have little experience of Political Career... I, Politicians, Public & you knw very well that the money spent on these events comes from pocket of common man. now my answer as a Honest mediator between Public and Political Leaders is that it is true that the money spent on events comes frm common mans pocket but it is not spent from the governments account which is liable to store deposit of the money which comes from the pocket of common man....

Note: if you understands the meaning of above lines then congrats... you are going to be a successful business personality...

Explanation for more Intelligent Managers who are like M**M*** : See, every political org has a common expenditure account knwn as Party Fund & the Only source of income to this account is charity through only economic activity called Fund Raising... and Donaters are those who bought rights to butcher public pockets... now it is 100% Legal to spend your own money on these types of events until it is earned through legal economic activities... Now the Case closes & even complete panel of jury from Supreme Court can't stop you to spend your money the way you like under process of legal transactions.

While everyone knows it is a sheer waste of public money people forget the basic necessity of promotion as a tool of creating awareness among people about the candidate in question . Until a social organization commences some radical initiative this cannot be avoided.
