Today two sessions were simultaneously conducted. The first session was on "Proxy wars"... The session was very disappointing and hopeless, due to the lack participation by the participants and leaving the conference before time. Please note that all such erring participants have been banned
We have to keep such strict rules to maintain the sanctity and the decorum of the discussion. People wouldn't be leaving an actual GD session just because they find it boring.
One thing that i find from the transcript is the lack of knowledge. So please read and gain insight into various topics present around u.
Proxy war is something like a cold war... wherein u are not fighting actively, but passively. eg. between India and Pakistan. So the discussion has to focus on what is proxy war... how has it become deadly and what are the disadvantages when compared to an actual war. You can talk of different refernces, eg vietnam.
What needs to be discussed is the effect of Proxy war on India and how large amounts of money is being spent on armoury rather than on development.
The other things that needed to be discussed is how Proxy wars should be dealt etc. I think th topic was very easy, but what spoiled it is the lack of participation and unwillingness among the participants to work.
I hope to see better participation from everyone, next time.
