I won't be taking part until I know someone's evaluating the GD.......no point in doing it unless I know where I stand  :aj:

Well some1 would be evaluating the gd.. So not to wrry on2 dat. U can surely take part.. Its jst tht if u want a bolting down review on gd's dan only u gottta wait.. otherwise a analysis would surely put up on daily basis by any of the concerned person..!!

Well Kartik,
the simple analysis is fine... But i request for a little deeper analysis... It can be either given by u, or bhavin or nikhil. I totally agree with Anupam that there would be no point in continuing unless we know where are we faltering.

As for now, the analysis is okie... but could u please give some more points. Secondly, i respect ur views... however when giving analysis, give 2-3 points in both the aspects 'for' and 'against' which we didnt take up in the discussion.

p.s. u skipped the analysis of the topic before this one... i.e. ethics, values and attitude.

Results for GD -->> Ethics, Values And Attitudes..

Good GD in all..

Points covered were less..

There was too much of consideration of company & personal life.. which was diverting the gd & not in a proper form..

Sandhya & anoop have given good points

Organization like infosys could be discussed. As they r known for their ethics & values. They got good transparency..

People forgot that a child is most of the time out of house & is in school & college & with friends & parents are blamed for all the work a child does. Parents do play a important role, but now a days. Friends & peers play the most important role in a Childs life.

This is just a briefing which I could give.. if there is anything else anyone wants.. do let me know.. will try to give the same at the earliest...

Result for --->>> Reservation In IIM's

GS was fine..

Ppeople did not came out with suggestions for the govt. it would have been an added point for them.

These reservations started long time back, but the condition & the environment was totally different & now its change to a lot of extant. There should be concessions given, but also it should be reduced (like from 50% to atleast 25%). Indina economy is booming & we are growing to a great extent & if still people go in for concessions & this kind of reservations with the educational field, that might create a lot of problems in the mere future.

Physically handicap are given reservations because of their inabilities, but that should also be judged as per the requirement of the course. (Nothing to relate to harm anyone’s feelings.)

IIM brand name may be affected if there are too many reservation criteria made (as pointed by many in the gd).

The easy availability of loans are only because of the image of IIM’s & there is no other reason for banks to invest in any student. If a candidate apply for loan for admission in B-School, the rating, name & the corporate feedback matters a lot for the same.

If any institution takes donation (bribe) it may/may not affect its image, but IIM’s go for it, they might spoil their image. Refer to the case of CAT leak in 2003.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you supposed to be a bit more precise with your analysis, nick??

Having said that, the points you put forth are meritorious; however, the only thing missing is the analysis or comments on people's performance specifically.

:aj:

Hey AJ,
Considering the fact that nikhil is hard pressed for time, i guess this much should be sufficient. Thanks Nikhil for the effort...
Hope to get similiar feedbacks for the forthcoming GDs

p.s. For the forthcoming Gds, try to comment on the individual performance,if possible.

Regards,
Gaurav

GD was conducted on the topic "It is high time to stop playing with the mouse and start turning the lathe"

The GD was pretty much disrupted in the starting. Once can easily see the mob mentality in the actual GD...

Request Nikhil to give a feedback

p.s. Nikhil, it will be interesting to read it!

The GD is going somewhere else..

The topic actually tells us to look at the practical scenario (shaft floor - lathe machine) & the use of computers at a large scale.

There should be discussion on bringing down people to the shaft floor & giving them proper knowledge about the product an organization manufactures, which is not done in most of the organizations.

In today’s growing scenario, there is a requirement to understand the working of each & every aspect of any industry. A person should be made aware of the working environment & the other required aspects for the same.

Computers are required in today’s world, but they are man made & the data available is also man made.. we do not get anything readymade. Someone does research & others utilize the same.

So we need to understand the & then work accordingly.

There were some good points raised in the GD.. but I would request all the people to read more & more papers & listen to the news. This will be beneficial for all.

Knowledge about the current affairs & the happenings in the surroundings would be helpful in the GD & other aspects too..

Hi all
It's been a great experience to be the part of GD team.I try my best to attend it but i missed out last two GD's and rest two days there was no GD.Gaurav it would have been a great help if u just msged us regarding the GD waether it's gonna heppen or not.As i have to come my office to attend it and its quite a distance from my place. It's just a suggestion, rest i understand that u must have ur prior commitments too.
Another request to comment on individual performances as it will help us in understand our area of improvements.

Amar, i always take care to send the schedule a day ahead.. If, someday, my net connection becomes active only by evening, i again take care to send it some 3-4 hours before the time. I am trying to co-ordinate with the Mp team and making it as regular as possible. There are a few initial hassles, but i think it will be ok within 2-3 weeks.

Regards
Gaurav

Sorry guys .. the analysis on case study was pending..

For getting an edge as regards to case studies.. please go through MP section of projects and case studies in subject principles of management.

This case study is a classic example of clashing of ego of a young dynamic mba and an experinced grey haired guy both of which have achieved excellence in their departments.

The problem is the compartment of various functions. Co-ordination of various departments is a must for the success of evry organisation.

Lack of co-ordination in the workforce has led to the downfall of many promising enterprises.

As i have kept on saying .. there is Never a " Right solution " or a Bad solution.. its a "good solution" or a "Not so good solution" .

Amar rishis comments were clear and focused. He is the most impressive one in this gd.

Kim takes a strong stand in the beginning of the GD and does not have strong statements that could support her views. Needs practice iin analysing case studies.

Kartik Raithatha : Repetitive comments. Not accepting the fact that every department has to work in co-ordination. No supporting statements.

Chintans views go humpty dumpty .. supports everyone and then uses the "but" which is not favourable for his stand.

bhakti sadarangani : On right track.. shouldve interacted more.

vyankatesh rathi : needs to give his own inputs more often than just supporting everyone.

Gaurav, gdtaker: Needs more practice on analysing case studies.

Sorry guyz if i missed someone.. I have to study for exams but dint want to keep this pending.. my apologies if I couldnt analyse few things here and there .

Thank you very much Kartik for sparing your time inspite of having ur exams in line.Best wisshes for exams:thumb:
Efforts from Mp team is really appreciated, and thanx once again for doing individual analysis.

when v r going to have next GD.......any clue????:dizzy:
We will have the GD as soon as the feedback for the previous ones is available. For the moment nikhil and kartik are very busy and hence it is not possible. I think nikhil should be able to provide the necessary feedback in the next week and hence, we should able to resume, henceforth.
