Work under the Govt Sector or the Private sector?

hey guys,
having a job in a govt sector or a PSU is worth or a job in a private company will be beneficial?
here are a few starters:

Govt jobs:

• 
  govt jobs are secured jobs
  have a lot of freedom
  less stress
  more benefits

Private:

• 
  are unsecure
  have a huge scope of growth due to performance based appraisal
  less corrupt

govt sector is the best but private is more rewarding

Govt sector is more rewarding if you compare work is to pay ratio

Plus you get lot more respect from people in private sector as they need work done from you and you are final authority.

Bribes are unethical but are a factor to consider.

i guess wen u r young and bachelor u can go for private job because u can get more amt of knowledge ,the incentive payscale is initially high enough to make u stand on ur own legs ...but wen u get married its time to chillaxand spend time wit ur family ...tat is d best time to go for gov jobsssssss!!!!!!!

i believe in public sector jobs, they dont throw you out during retrenchment..whereas in private sector, u never know when you are out of job..
