Well some1 asked for opinion abt rediffmail
Found an article on that...
I have used rediff mail too but am happier with gmail's services..
Advantage - Rediff :
1. It’s Free (Atleast for Now).
2. Blazing Fast (Than any other Free mail service)
3. Very Flexible (Ease of use - Functions such as Drag ’n Drop, Instant Preview, Adress book, Mail search)
4. Attachments (Quick & easy attachment & total mail size can be upto 10 MB, but with a limited number of upto 20 attachments)
5. Storage space (A Massive storage space of 1 G.B....though not the best in terms of storage space when compared to Gmail etc...But 1 G.B that Rediff offers is more than enough for a average user)
6. Spam Control (A good & decent Spam control interface)
7. Read Emails from your any other Mail service providers accounts (You can get your office mails or mails from other POP accounts in your Rediffmail mailbox)
8. Get POP3 Access (You can read mails from your Rediffmail account in email clients like Outlook Express, MS Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, Eudora etc.)
9. Access to Rediff Bol (Free Instant Messenger service which enables us to chat )
10. SMS (Free SMS service again a feature included in Rediff bol)
11. MultiLingual Support (Enables to write mails in different regional languages like hindi etc...)
Disadvantage - Rediff :
1. POP3 Access is not Free. It’s available for a nominal fee of Rs 399 / Year (Gmail, Mail2web & a few others provide it for free)
2. Rediff Mobile is also a Premium service.
3. You need to login at least once every 30 days to avoid Suspension of your Account
4. Attachments only upto 10 M.B whereas S.P’s(Service Provider’s) like Mail2web offer attachment upto 100 M.B
