Walmart has one of the most exciting operations with 12000KM long belts running to manage supplies. While delivering items to the stores, Walmart makes sure it has the least of inventories, and on the return route, it uses the trucks for moving goods/articles for 3rd party companies.
Their advertisement model suggests "Everyday low prices". The prices don't end up with .99 as we see often. They have .87 to suggest customers prices are even lower than what they have seen elsewhere.
