see whatever it is veg or non veg toally depends on the individual. there are so many things in life which are right for 1 person n wrong for the other. this is also just one of them. so let the people decide what they want 2 be.

about my personal opinion i would say that unless there is an urgency and you are not getting nethng veggie 2 eat. stop eating out animals which ones lived but coz of the demand of non veg by people like you some people have made it their business coz they also need to survive by selling something to u.

n about the taste i dont understand. doesent your soul say something to you while u r eating something like this..dont you hear the scream of that animal.dont you get a picture in your mind of blood oozing out of the animal when it is being killed.......try to feel that may be you stop eating it

we are humans lets behave like one..

hi i think its not like that only veg are non veg, some feel dat non veg as a sin n having veg as decsency...but da matr is hungriness n it must b given the foremost prority aftr all all our efforts is to fullfill it....
so, according 2 me der must b no compromise at hungry....whethr veg r non veg....

but if stresd on dis matr i choose veg bcoz having veg has no limitation it always has + effects, but having non veg always leads to fat n digestn probs...

I once read this statement somewhere: 'There is no right or wrong - There is only what serves you and what does not.'

So how can one explain such a statement within the vegetarian context of life?

Let me put it to you this way, if there is no right or wrong but only that which serves you or does not serve you would I be correct in saying that eating, wearing and unhumanely torturing animals does NOT serve human living on almost all levels as a whole on this planet?

Let me explain further ....

I do not feel that consuming animals serves humanity on any level and I can state this for quite a few reasons however I will keep my response much shorter to just two of the main key points why.

1) Did you Know that living a Vegetarian Lifestyle Could Help Impact MASSIVE Changes in Global Warming?

Well here are just a few reasons why . . .

It takes 22 times the acres of land to meet the food energy needs of one person eating meat than it does for one person eating potatoes.

It takes more than 13 times the water to produce one day's food supply for an omnivore than it does for a vegan.

It takes 27 times the petroleum to produce a hamburger than it does a soy burger.

The land animals confined and killed every year excrete 130 times the faeces and urine produced by humans.

Livestock production also utilizes more than eight percent of global water use, primarily for feed-crop irrigation.

The annual greenhouse gas output from burger consumption is the equivalent to the annual greenhouse gas output from between four and 13 million SUVs.

In the Amazon, approximately 60-70 percent of deforestation results from cattle ranches and soybean cultivation.

And according to a UN FAO report, "in all, livestock production amounts to 70 percent of all agricultural land and 30 percent of the land surface of this planet." The USDA says growing crops for animals takes up 80 percent of the agricultural land in the US and animals raised for food in the US consume 90 percent of the soy crop, 80 percent of the corn and 70 percent of its grain.

2) Do You Remember being told to Eat your Fruit and Vegetables as a Child (or you might not grow up big and strong)?

Well by replacing animal foods with plant foods this helps reduce saturated fat and cholesterol and increases healthy fiber, vitamin C, folate and carotenoids.

Research has shown that a diet rich in fruit and vegetables can decrease the risk of having a heart attack or stroke, protect against a variety of cancers, lower blood pressure plus has many other health benefits to help you prevent disease.

According to Dr T. Colin Campbell, nutritional researcher at Cornell University and director of the largest epidemiological study in history, "The vast majority of all cancers, cardiovascular diseases, and other forms of degenerative illness can be prevented simply by adopting a plant-based diet." (i.e. a pure vegetarian diet with no animal by-products).

Plus just think about this for a moment: some of the world's largest and strongest animals are pure vegetarians e.g. The Elephant, Hippo, Giraffe, Rhino, Cattle, Horses, Gorilla etc. And they seem to be thriving very well living off vegetation and have done so for many hundreds of years. . . . So does this not at least show you that to grow up big and strong we as humans too can gain all of the nutrients and dietary requirements solely from plant sources alone? Of course it does - common sense confirms this statement plus there have been countless studies with much evidence to show that a pure vegetarian diet is one of the healthiest choices you can make for you, the animals and the planet.

After reading the above 2 key points can you see more awareness that just maybe animal consumerism on all levels does not serve humanity and only adds to the suffering, disease and unhealthy environment for every species that lives on this planet we call EARTH.

The moral to my ranting is this, the 'right or wrong' argument actually might just be an illusion in my humble opinion, who's right or wrong does not even exist. The real truth to life should be about what serves or what does not serve.

I personally believe that pure vegetarian living does serve humanity in so many positive ways it would take me a book to explain them all, but to sum it up in four simple words I would have to say it means 'positive evolution for all.'

So are you educated enough to figure out the answer that might just serve you and your loved ones for the positive? If you look into it without falling prey to the illusionary conditions of society you may just figure out that what serves you as a living being on this planet might just serve every other being (no matter if they are human or animal).

Just maybe you already know the Truth - you just have to allow it.

Human kind has survived on an omnivorous diet since its origin.
There are few people who were out of there mind who started differentiation on everything.
And we still see such samples..

They try to comment things like "NON VEG EATING ITSELF IS AN ACT OF SIN".

Let me clarify

1> NO MAJOR RELIGION'S PROHIBITION:

All the major religions of the world permit the consumption of lawful non-vegetarian food in general and cattle in particular. There is no prohibition from a single major religion of the world on eating non-vegetarian food.

2> NO GOVERNMENT HAS PROHIBITED NON-VEGETARIAN.

3> NO AUTHENTIC MEDICAL HEALTH ORGANISATION HAS PROHIBITED NON-VEGETARIAN

I hope u have heard about anthropophagy. If not search on google.
You do not have to see the future to wait for it.
And b4 u start making comments on anthropophagy please read about it.

but v cn have veg 4times a day .........

if u r nt satisfied cn u give the proportion for non veg.......

Let's see now - you chaps do realize that 'Non-Veg diet' does NOT mean eating nothing but non-veg food, right? I mean, even the most hardcore of non-vegetarians has bread with his chicken curry and a salad/fruits to follow the fried fish.

Anyway I've tried to respond to the specific points below...

Vegetarian food contain more water The thing is, water can be consumed in the form of water also. Or in the tomato and WATER that is added to non-veg curries.

Vegetarian food - complete food No comments

The vegetarian food is low in cholesterol Actually, if you fry a potato, it contains as much cholestrol as a fried chicken leg. If not more. Depends on the recipe.

Uric acid in non-vegetarian food is harmful In certain non-vegetarian foods.

The best source of vitamins is vegetarian food Yes, that's why everyone eats fruits. Non-vegetarians included.

Non-vegetarian food is very expensive Have you seen the prices of vegetables lately?

Vegetarian food gives good health and long life That it does. But then Japanese people have long lives too, and they eat a predominantly non-veg diet. So do South Americans

Non-vegetarian is not strength giving You must be kidding. Non-veg food is widely prescribed for increasing muscle mass.

Non-vegetarian is the cause for several diseases Contaminated food is the cause for several diseases. But yes, non-veg food contaminates easier.

IF HAVE AN OVERVIEW OF THIS ENDLESS DEBATE WE CAN CONCLUDE THAT IT IS THE LARGE SCALE ON WHICH ANIMALS ARE HARMED CAUSING ALL THE PROBLEMS...SO IF WE CAN CONTROL AND REDUCE OUR POPULATION THEN IT SURE WOULD REDUCE ANIMAL KILLING LEADING TO ICING OF THE HEATED DEBATE POSSIBLY PUTTING AN END TO IT...
 
I THINK POPULATION AND THE EVIL IN OF HUMANS ARE THE REAL PROBLEMS LEADING TO DEBATE ON VEG VS NON.VEG......IT'S THE TRUE THAT HUNGER IS THE BASIC NEED TO BE SATISFIED AND AS ANIMALS FEED ON ANIMALS SO CAN HUMANS FEED ON ANIMALS IF NEEDED BASED ON THE INDIVIDUAL OR GROUP PRIORITIES....BUT IT HAS TO BE CONTROLLED.....YOU CAN GO ON KILLING MILLIONS OF ANIMALS PUTTING NEGATIVE EFFECT ON THE WHOLE ENVIRONMENT FOR SATISFACTION OF ONE'S OWN NEED......IF THIS IS THE CASE THEN THERE IS PROBABLY SOMETHING REALLY WRONG HAPPENING...WHICH EVEN THE NON.VEGs CAN REALIZE......IT'S IMPORTANT TO THINK FOR THE WORLD AS A WHOLE WHILE SATISFYING ONE'S INDIVIDUAL NEEDS......

k let me conclude,

my point is very clr dat, in medical point of view

v cn hv veg food daily atleast 3 times a day as i take it so,

bt v cnt hav non veg 3 times a day def results in digstn probs no matr of wat evr da specific item b......

so ratio is 3:1,

dat means v cnt have non veg in same propotion to veg........

which means veg wins da race........
