Urgent help needed: Logistics in war

Hello guys, i m dhiraj and i m in TYBMS..guys i m in a real tuff situation as far as my tybms 100 marks project is concerned ...my topic is " Logistics in war/military operations"..as of now i have little or to say so no clue as to hw do i go abt it..i kindly request you guys to cm forward nd help me with any possible information dat u have on d topic..in case sm1 hs any link or any project available on similar topics too, it wud b gr8 if u cn share dat wid me..i m really counting on u guys as i hv a heard a lot abt dis site..plz plz help me regarding dis..u cn either post the info or document on dis post or prferably send to my e-mail id which is :i hope to get sm help/reply frm u guys regarding my project at d earliest as i am facing a time constraint...thanks in advance..all d best

Hi Dhiraj the topic u have choosen is really tuff, it takes lots of guts to take a topic lke that, i appreciate that. A friend of mine have taken the same subject during his 100 marks project but he changed the topic in the middle as it was difficult for him also too find the relivant information on the topic. What u can do is try and read some books on it and have a visit to the nearest army camp for example the one in santacruz, i hope u will get some nice information from them.

hey akash, first of all thanks a lot for ur early reply and showing the interest in helping me out..i am aware of d fact dat d topic dat i have taken definitely needs a lot of inputs and data and also agree dat finding d relevant info is a little difficult..bt akash, my biggest challenge rite nw is the time constraint i have fr d topic wich i need to overcome, so meeting many people nd reading books are though result-yielding bt time consuming activities..and also if u cud plz do me a favour and help me out wid either ur friends e-mail id or possibly his contact no, i mean d one who hd attempted doin the project..i cud speak to him nd maybe become a little more clear abt my topic nd exactly hw do i go abt it, coz since ur friend hd already started d project, he must def be having a fair idea of things..plz c if u cn help me out wid dat as soon as possible..in case dere is anything dat u or friend cn help me out wid, i wud really b thankful to to u guys..my email id is : , plz try nd mail me his contact no or his e-mail id..also i once agin request others 2 plz cm forward nd try nd help me with respect to my project..thanks again

not at all dhiraj..u r topic is not at all tough...mind you it is a lot intersting.......hence dont think of it being as toguh....well to start with ...dont think about your topic instead what you can do..is read about all the wars and then relate logistics to it......but to start with you can read about adventures of Alexander and Akbar.....etc...this will give u atleast some basic idea...especially if u have read Prince by Machiavelli....etc..and also "The Art of Strategy"...by Partha Bose......they all r good books...buddy...
 
Well you have hit a bullzeye on focussing on the most important part of war, which is much more important than the strategy and actual blue print being the logistics involved of the people and the ammunitions without which its hard to sustain.
