Programme Details
Prof.(Dr.) Swarup Kumar Dutta is currently working as
an Assistant Professor at IndianInstitute of
Management (IIM), Ranchi.He had earlier worked with
IIM Rohtak andNirma University and ICFAI Business
School. He has a corporate experience of 13 years in
areas like metals, automotive and FMCG industries as
also an academic experience of 9 years.
During his stint with IBS (Icfai Business School),
Ahmedabad, he was awarded the “The Best Teacher
Award" for 2009-10.He has written few text books in
Strategic Management. He has written 15 research
papers in peer reviewed journals, I4 articles in leading
magazines of India besides 12 cases.
He has conducted training programmes for ABB, Asian
Paints, Adani Group, Torrent Pharma, ERDA, BPCL,
Kalpataru Transmissions, Somany Tiles, GMDC, Aditya
Birla Group, Canara Bank, etc. for their senior and
middle management in areas like Strategic Thinking,
Strategic Planning and Competition Analysis.
During his industry career he has been felicitated with
Outstanding Young Managers Award instituted by
Baroda Management Association and Bharuch District
Management Association, Gujarat. He has worked
closely with associates of Unilever and Ikea.
His research interests are in the field of corporate
renewal and how firms develop dynamic capabilities.
Prof. (Dr.) Rohit Kumar is currently working as an Assistant Professor at Indian
Institute of Management (IIM), Ranchi. He has done his Ph.D. in the area of
Strategic Management from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi.
He has a corporate experience of 11 years and has played multiple roles e.g.,
Manager, Area Manager, Chief Manager, General Manager and Head- Business
Risk at leading organizations across the Insurance Industry. He has been a
visiting faculty and has taught the Strategic Management course at leading B-
Schools in India. He has also taught at Indian Institute of Health Management
Research, Jaipur and International Institute of Health Management Research
(IIHMR), New Delhi.
He has conducted training programmes in the area of strategy and managed
care at various institutions across India and his research work is published in
journals of repute. He has provided consultation in the areas of strategy
formation, execution and business model innovation.
He has been the recipient of the “Max Bupa CEO Award” for 2012-13, “Aviva
India Director's Award” for year 2014 and was the “Senior Assessor” under the
Max Performance Excellence Framework (MPEF), Max India. He is also the
recipient of the President CPCU Scholarship, USA and PhD Research
Scholarship awarded by Insurance Institute of India.
He is the Fellow of Insurance Institute of India (FIII); Associate member of
Chartered Insurance Institute, UK (ACII); Member of Strategic Management
Society (SMS) and is a Certified Risk and Insurance Manager (C-RIM).
His research interest are in the field of strategic planning & execution, core
competency, dynamic capability, business model, strategy metaphors and
innovation.
