Now a day's most of the children spend their time by watching television. And they interact less with their parents.so is it right to say that TV and films influence Children more than parents?

It depends on parents and students both. Well, if the parents are busy working then there is probability the chances are high in influencing but, if mother or father only one individual works then too, kids have high influence. But, i would like to correct you my friend, here in 21 st century the questions must be, Is Mobile phones influence children more than parents. Parents do not have any role play in upbringing the kid because there is so much of dearness, they both have to work together so time is insufficient.

I think that the child is certainly influenced more by their parents than T.V. Television is just an source of entertainment and fun. All the children have more influence of the thoughts and ideas taught by their parents from their childhood. Sometimes it depends upon the mentality and mind of the children where they want them i.e, in the right path or wrong path.

I guess it all boils down to two questions:
(1) What do the parents tell children / how do the former behave with the latter and
(2) what contents the children themselves watch on t. v. and films.

As long as the child watches only entertainment content, it is likely that it will influence him/her more than parents especially in terms of setting expectations and dreams. The child's mind would be too young to understand that situations (or for that matter even the animation) shown on screen is not likely to be replicated in real life, and most such content on screen will be for the sole purpose of keeping the child engrossed.

In comparison, to some children, parents may come across as 'preachy'. So even if they are telling something for the children's own good, since the child does not appreciate it at face value, it has a lesser influence on him/her.
