Well, we all have some or another kind of mental stress or mental disorders and they act as a monster in your life. There ae myriads of notional characters which imagine, but penning it down is what sets you apart from others. In this series of illustrations, mental illnesses are reimagined as monsters – designed by an artist Toby Allen. He understands his mental stress and gives that disorder or stress a particular definite structure of a monster.
I found that drawing my worries and fears as little monsters would help me think about them differently and make my anxiety feel more manageable. I imagined that my anxiety could be overcome by giving it a physical form, giving it a visible weakness that I could learn to exploit. He said.
I also wanted to try and educated people about mental illness and maybe even reduce the stigma surrounding it, through helping viewers to understand what it's like to have one of these conditions. According to him, it is not difficult to form a structure all that takes time is research and development. The illustrations themselves don’t take very long to create. The majority of time is spent on the research and conceptualization stages. He added. Here is the list of his work that will leave you star- struck and amused. Don’t believe me, just watch.
