Television is better than books.

No not at all as books are definatly better than TV as the books is the heart of education which keep education alive so TV can not replace books

BOOKS.....While the TV bombards you with a sensorial experience, showing facts as they really were (or as imagined / mentally constructed by the director), books offer a conceptual description of beings and their universe. While reading we "process" the written information, so that it becomes intelligible, and so that we can relate to the characters and situations they experience. Thus, we are forced, or "invited", to perform a much more complex reasoning and mental constructions. We are, so to speak, exercising our brain while reading.

Books gives us indepth analysis while TV gives us latest information. Both are essential. Since it is a debate I will vote for TV. Channels like Gyandharshan and Topper TV rock the field of education beyond our doubts. There are interactive sessions in these channels so I believe in TV much that in a book.

television is good but one can never get EXACTLY the topic one wants to learn on tv....
and then, a book is always so dependable! books are much better...

It depends what you are trying to learn. If you are trying to learn some hardcore finance topics involving calculations, you will require books. But if you want to learn about latest business happenings, TV would be better in the context of visual aids, no. of expert views that can be obtained, etc.

I don't really like reading books. television giving more interactive informations. my simple example would be Harry Potter. I love the movie and don't read the books

yah definitely, television is better than books because of its superior visionary appeal. Its moving parts can never be matched to a books static visuals. Also the character, the colors, the message come so live in a tv but never so in a book.
Storage space wise one small tv and you get so much of information but for same information you need many books and lots of storage space.

tv attracts a child so easily, right from the day he is born u can feed info to him and make him learn so many things but to get knowledge out of books u have to learn a lot first.

TV ruined our lives. Life was so simple before TV. People used to spend more time with there families and in studies.

Visuals register in our mind faster, stronger and clearer than text. Thats why Topper TV has come to the market.

I believe each has its own importance and stand. There are some things which a book will not provide but a TV will at the same time there are some things that a book provides which TV cannot. TV is primarily for updating on current affairs and happenings in the real world. Let me put it this way can u appear for an entrance exam or an MBA exam by just watching TV? If you can answer this question i think you will have the answer.
