What do you think of the latest TATA TEA ad...

Tata has every time touched a social point through its advertisements..

first it was the famous election campaign...

now it is the campaign for eliminating corruption,,,bribery etc...

what do you think of the AD and also about how tata tea is fulfilling its socIAL responsibilty....

well i feel dat yes d advt of tata tea is quite relevant. a few months back only India has been ranked low by transparency international on the grounds of how much transparency is there.....but d main thing is not to jst show/see dese ads bt to tak d action to tk d issue forward and make India corruption free.

Nidhi, Could you point out the link where it says we are ranked low on transparency please ?

I'm yet to see latest tata tea campaign but I feel the last one was not just about social responsibility. It had an element of social responsibility and was very well mashed with the feeling of energy and enthusiasm that you expect after a cup of tea.

Jaagore is also in context to most households in India who prefer to brush their teeth only after they have their first cup of morning "bed tea"

Its a good example of wrapping brand essence in the advertisement while still maintaining focus on functional benefit of core product.

Rightly mentioned by Vikram. Tata's moving more unto the social concepts and their ads depicts it clearly.

the Jago India campaign, is an evident example, flashed more frequently during the recent polls. A simple product like a beverage making the public concious about Voting ...how? Tata tea giving a wakeup call

Social Responsibility ... hmm.. TATAs are know for there involvement in SR from past few decades.
It is a good step forward through Jago India campaign.. but does it help in increasing the voting percentage ? There was a drop in overall voting turnout from last Lok Sabh elections. It was just 56.97% with lowest in J&K (38%apprx) to Highest in Nagaland (90% approx). I remember before elections many steps were taken to increase awareness on elections through TV, Print and FM channels. Many celebrities were roped in to spread awareness on Why and How to Vote.
I think many people are looking for Jobs in metro cities and hence they tend to migrate from there home town.. this has resulted in increase in non voting pattern. I think being Indian, people should be allowed to vote from any part of India with required Documents provided.. May be Mr Nandan Neilkeni from Infosys is handling project on UIN which can help to increase in voting percentage. May be ?…..

Yes absoultely..taken your point here.

but the issue here is whether or not there was any progress or change in the poll's performance this year, some businesses comes up with marketing campiagns during these times with a concept focussing on the social cause and drives away with their motives( that can be boasting sales, enhancing brand image, CSR..ec)

It is pretty good one. The corruption is almost everywhere. Its said that we can reduce the corruption as we are the only who leads to crruption. I tried (in public sector banks) not to give any money for getting work done, but the circumstamces demands that i have to pay them otherwise my work wouldnt happen which ultimately leads to higher cost(loss) than to pay bribe. tata's doin good job but will require alot of time to implement it

TATA is at present doing great job by raising social issues of country with the advertisement of their product. Its an interesting strategy adopted by TATA for promotion of its TATA tea. If we take it as a marketing point of view the advertisement by TATA tea directly hits emotions of Indian consumers which also results in good sales and promotion and side by side it make a good image of TATA in the mind of consumers by its social messages.

GOOD MARKETING STRATEGY BY TATA. I will call it more as a marketing strategy because hitting the emotions of consumers and associating product with consumer's emtions is best way of promotion.

TATA TEA AD -Common man , important issue , Social awareness and Branding. A perfect blend. Marketing at pinnacle. Again TATA's has raised an important issue through appropriate story. We know that there is corruption and we also want to get rid off this but we need someone to show us the picture. This adv. has shown that picture. The way it create awareness among voters through previous adv this will also sucessfull.

it is a good plot, but then v will hv to chek if it has really converted into sales revenue, fmcg are heavily dependent on distribution chanel promotions

I think it is one of the most sensible messages i have seen conveyed in 15seconds in recent times . 3 cheers to the team that came up with the idea

i support the step taken by them, atleast they are trying.....
and when one hears something again n again, it leaves a mark on them , so next time when a person indulges into corruption, atleast a small voice in their head would tell them what they r doing is wrong... thats the first step...
