Sourav Ganguly's decision to quit cricket is right???

i think it was right move of ganguly taken at right time.there are many young &talented players who can fill in for him.performance of ganguly was also below average.so i think it was a wise decisionto quit cricket.:SugarwareZ-241:
 
Agreed he should quit now.
Not because he is inconsistent but coz player like him knows when he has to quit!!
 
yaa , it was the right time time for him to take the retirement decision as it is important for a player to quit the game when he is in his best form and definetly dada was in his best form when he took th retirement decision.
 
Yes he has retired in the right time. Lot of youngsters yet to show their performance in International Arena.
 
no i wasnt the right decision as he still had a couple of more years of cricket left in him......he is still scoring heaps of runs in domestic circuit which vindicates the fact that he still had enough to give to indian as well as international cricket
 
He is still with KKR so thats nice. He has just been made the captain of the team after the second IPL debacle so thats a positive thing.
 
I'm sure deep down inside Sachin might not be as surprised by Ganguly's decision to call it quits as he has known him for years as a team mate and more importantly as an opening partner. Sachin surely must've seen the constant humiliation faced by Sourav because of various selectors and coaches. The point about 'respecting seniors' made by Sachin is very important especially in Ganguly's case beccause he's the one man who instilled this aggression among the then youngsters i.e Yuvraj, Zaheer, Harbhajan etc. Sourav Ganguly will always be a Hero for youngsters like me and it is great to se him retiring at the perfect time.
