Sourav Ganguly's decision to quit cricket is right???

hi it DADA retirement is highly debatable topic noone is 100% assure that it is good decision or not. if we think according to dada point of view then he should still play but when we think about indian cricket team we will say it was a right decision. today reserve bench of team is full of talented people, player like jafar, yuvraj are out of team. it was time for dada to quit cricket in respectful manner.

Re: Sourav Ganguly\'s decision to quit cricket is right???

Yup he should.... hes not even a portion of himelf wa back in the glorious days ..

Better to die gallantly rather than live miserably, rite ?

don't know why Indian players don't have the will or self-respect to quit the game gracefully when they have achieved enough in their career??

Why do they have to wait till 'recession' turns into their play and they are 'forced' (atleast thats what they have to say!!) to retire.

Lara, McGrath etc. have done that. Sachin said the other day on TV that the senior players don't get enough respect. I

The lovers of the game in India go to watch cricket not just to see their favourite players perform but also to see India win (although they want it all the time).

I believe its time for the young guns to take over and the selectors to adopt new policies to identify them (player rotation may work).

I suppose this was the right time for him to quit, since a person should quit respectfully rather than being kicked out of the team. He is one of the batting legends and he deserved a respectful farewell. Even though he might not have been treated by the indian board the way he deserved, but still sooner or later he had to go (with so many talented newcomers waiting for the national call). So even though the farewell isn't the way it should have been, but still the timing (as per me) is right.
