Way to go guys!!!!

Heartiest Congratulations to all those who have made the cut...after the endless waiting!!!..

And when you are done with that...time to sit down and do some serious preparation, coz the tough part is yet to be conquered!
This thread shall cater to all the discussions and queries pertaining to GE-PI(before and after) up until the final results are out.
Hoping for a healthy exchange of ideas and resolution of queries.

Dear aspirants ,

This thread is for those people who get shortlisted for the GE PI process for SIOM Nashik.
If you any query regarding process, how to reach SIOM, about faculty, programm offered by SIOM, placement pls feel free to post.
 
Here i will give u brief abt the GE PI process.
I selected 18 feb morning 10:30 slot for my GE PI process. Reached Nashik on 17th and stayed in Nashik city which is abt 12-15 km frm the college.

Reached at 9: 30 am on 18th at campus and done with registration by 10:15 am. during registration they check SNAP admit card, score card, call letter frm college.

After registration we are divided in grp of 10 and told to arrange all document in reverse chronological order. After that one by one each grp is either moved to document verification, or for GE process.

In GE first there is extempore round in which 1 min was given to think and then 1 min to put ur points I think my topic is "something on success .........." i don't remember exactly

Next was GD in which case is given and we have to work as team and come out with a solution. both round went well no glitches during the process.

Then our group is send for document verification. After that we again moved to the same room where GD took place for PI round. In this same panel was their. In PI they generally focus on work ex as i had 3.5 yrs of ex in manufacturing industry. Questions were like how u mange ur team. what r the major challenges u face , why MBA in operations, where u see urself in 5 years. Major question are work related nothing frm academics. It took place around 15-20 min.

After that Director interview in which role play was given to 4 students in a grp. it went smoothly just use common sense while discussing abt the case. after that WA(written assessment) In which i had to write a brief about the book which i am going to write in future just table of content and brief description abt all points.

All this process went smoothly and it took around 3.5 hr (max time to wait for directors interview(DI)). If DI was not there it would finished in 1.5 to 2 hrs. Kudos to seniors

Thanks for this information Siddharth. Did you attend any other GD/PIs at other B-Schools in India? If yes, how would you rate the complexity of those bschools against the evaluation of SIOM, Nashik?

Yes Attended GD-PI process IMT Gaziabad, Nagpur, MHCET.

In all those colleges their evaluation process is not clear.
They don't specified weight age for different processes. Number of candidate called for admissions were in ration of 1:10 which is very high and no. of person in GD were 14 which make our GD a fighting arena where every one is trying to put his point.

Hello, I haven't prepared for any such exams bu, have curiosity to know about why this examination held and what are the scope after clearing. However, i know that such type of exams are very difficult to crack and very hard to score. Would you please like to enlighten on the topic mention above.
