Should I go for a company/profile of my interest or should I join company/Profile which requires me? This was the question I encountered few seconds back and hence the thought of writing this article. This is almost the most common query of every job aspirant. What should he/she go for or what is the criteria should I choose my area of interest or to look into where am I suitable. Sometimes I do feel no matter what you think or plan to for your career the luck jumps all of a sudden and you get what you want and at that moment you don’t even think of whether I am suitable or no over here. The two parts of the question actually give you the answer but before that let me tell you the feelings involved in both of them. The former part of the question whether I should choose a profile of your choice denotes your willingness to work your area of interest and your comfort and inner urge to develop in that field or company this is totally positive and the results that you achieve here are productive no doubt even if the company chooses you to be suitable to that job rather your qualifications prove you to be suitable to that job and if you are less interested in job you would rather lose your willingness and charm to work and continue with the firm/profile on long run you would switch jobs often since it’s not your area of interest. Now what would you prefer switching jobs or continuing with the profile of your interesting gaining promotions then and there. What would you want mental peace by working at the area of your interest or would you force your mind body and heart to work where you actually don’t want to but since you are capable of being there you are there.
I believe opportunities exist everywhere it is just that human beings are unaware of all and hence loose heart and select the second option. But the ones who lose heart and determination deserve the same. But the ones who explore new opportunities until then they find the dream job wherein both the conditions get fulfilled i.e. its job of your deep interest also your are capable of being there and hence the company hired you. If you chose the second option I feel that you might gain an half hearted experience, formal relations with colleagues, serious life, may be stress, colleagues see you as workaholic and the one who lacks fun and humor and working for the sake of working; whereas if you chose the first option you have fun and work together low stress levels innovative at work informal atmosphere at work, it’s like accomplishing the things you need to along with humor fun and making the work culture more of fun sort and engaging each and everyone’s contribution to success and not being a table weight at office.
Being a bit of humorous, let me tell when human beings do everything out of interest and liking right from what should I wear to which course should I choose depends upon our area of interest and hence we enjoy them so much ..then why not a job of our choice… its your right and go for it. No matter what others think or feel do what you like to you would be able to offer best of your services only when there lays interest and liking for a company/profile am I right?
