SHOULD ABORTION BE BANNED OR CONTINUED?

We are facing lots of social problems in our coutry and abortion is one of such problems.In India we are seeing increase in abortion cases at very rapid pace. If we see the most times abortion cases are result of a sick mentality and maximum times abortions are done when a women is going to have a girl child.States like Punjab, Haryana and U.P are having maximum number of abortion cases. So its a big issue another issue is unsafe relations which also become cause of unnecessary pregnancy and led to abortion.

I would like to know your views whether abortions should be banned or this system should continue as it is?
 
I think abortion shud be banned in India provided it is genuinely not required. Moreover there should be legal authority eho should approve the Abortion..
 
I would say banning abortion will only create more chaos. Think from the perspective of a person who doesn't want that child to be born. If it is due unsafe relations or improper protection. In either case, abortion is better than giving birth to an "unwanted" child.

I dont see a reason why it should be banned. Every person should have an option to rectify his/her mistakes and abortion is just an enabler exercise that right. We shouldnt drag society in individualism.

Yes it should be banned for the sake of better boy girl ratio in the near future. If at all there are no adequate number of girls what kind of world are we thinking of?????????????:SugarwareZ-086:

Why would you ban abortion? I agree with Mr. Karthik. A person should have a right to make his own decision.

India already has such huge population. By implementing a ban on abortion, it will make us the most populated country in the world.

We are still a developing country after 5 decades of freedom because of population that keeps increasing at a rate faster than any GDP could.
 
Abortion is an individual decision...and it shouldnt b banned.....but the promotion of contraceptive methods should be enhanced....
but the laws to make abortion happen should be strict and stringent.....
but i agree tht after a certain period of fertilization the abortion shoulnt b allowed...
 
killing an innocent life is no one's right. One should had been careful if you cannot take the responsibility. However, under some situations like rape one cannot help it but go for abortions.
 
i dont think abortion should be banned...it is better not to give birth to the unwanted child...if the parents or for that matter the woman isnt ready for the child, she should have the right to abort...giving birth to such a child can affect the future of the parents as well as the child..!
 
Apart from a moral question abortion is a legal question which enshrines the rights of the unborn child as well. As has been stipulated in PC-PNDT Act, abortion is valid only till 3 months of pregnancy which should remain the status quo regarding the issue.
 
I think it should be banned with certain conditions. If any need arises of unwanted circumstances than either the doctor or any authorised medical practioner should be allowed to authorise abortion.
 
I would say banning abortion will only create more chaos,because of some use and throw minded people,other innocent preganant woman whose blood pressure wont be in ctrl during pregnancy abortion should be done in order save the woman's life
