Determination thereof is required to:
• Calculate turnover (including turnover of sales) for
determining threshold limit to ascertain liability to tax; and


• Calculate sales tax and Vat.


WHAT DOES SALE PRICE MEAN?


Generally it means the valuable consideration for any sale of goods.


WHAT DOES SALE PRICE INCLUDE?

To illustrate:

1. Any charge for anything done by the seller to the goods at or before delivery; and/or


2. Excise duty; and/or


3. Customs duty; and/or


4. Deposit whether refundable or not in connection with or incidental to the sale, etc.


WHAT DOES SALE PRICE EXCLUDE?

To illustrate:
• Insurance, cost of transit, when it is separately charged; and/or


• Installation cost, when it is separately charged; and/or


• Tax on sale, etc.
