They work for twenty four hours for protecting our railway system. Every year they recruit candidates for the post of sub inspectors and constables in the railway protection force. The exam will be conducted by the Indian railways under the central government of India. Eligible candidates can also apply for the RPF Sub-Inspectors/Constables Exam. The candidates who successfully pass the test will need to work all over the country.

Structure of RPF Exam

The exam consists of both written test and physical test.

The written test consists of multiple questions from different topics like General knowledge, general English and essay writing. The questions will carry one mark each .for essay writing the topic will be given at the spot and candidate will need to write about that topic in not less than 300 words. Candidates can either use English language or Hindi language for writing the essay. Only unmarried males and females can apply for this entrance exam. After completing the exam results will be announced within few days and the selected candidates will need to come for physical and medical test conducted by the railway protection force for the post of sub inspector or constable in the railway protection force

Syllabus for RPF Exam

The questions will be from the following topics and their syllabuses are given below:

General knowledge

General English

Essay writing

Test of English language

There will be questions to check each candidate’s skill in English and his / her fluency in English. The questions will be based on:

Grammar
Vocabulary
Sentence completion
Synonyms
Antonyms
Comprehension of a passage
Test of General knowledge and general awareness

The questions will be based on the day today events. This is mainly asked to check the candidate’s knowledge about the important events taking place in his society.

Essay writing

Candidate can attend this test in Hindi or English language. The topic will be given at the time of exam. Candidate should be able to complete the exam in the time given.

Eligibility Criteria

For the post of sub inspector in various branches in railway protection force, the candidate should be a graduate from any subject with minimum 50% marks in the subject. The graduation degree should be from a well recognized college/university.

The candidates applying for executive branch in the railway protection force will also need to hold a degree certificate.
The candidates applying for fire and rescue service branch of the railway protection force should be 10+2 passed candidate or an equivalent diploma in fire fighting and science.
Those candidates applying for the post of constables should have passed 10+2 or equivalent.
Those applying for the post of sub inspector should be having an age not less than 20 and not more than 25.
For the post of constables those candidates of 18 to 25 ages can apply.
The physical test consists of some physical standards, they are given below:

A male candidate should have a minimum height of 165 cms( 160 cms for sc / 150 cms for st / 165 for ex –service men)
A female candidate should have a minimum height of 157 ms for general /st / sc / /obc.
A male candidate should have a minimum chest of 80 cms (76.2 cms for sc / st) with expansion of five cm.
The minimum weight required for all candidates are fifty kilogram for s c and fourty eight kilogram for S T.
For gorkhas, arhwalis, kumaonese etc should not be less than one hundred and sixty centimeters and for female gorkhas,garhwalis,kumaonese etc should not be less than one hundred and fifty centimeters.

How to fill the Form?

Filling the form is an important task as entering any wrong information can lead to the rejection of the form. All data’s entering should be correct. For that check the application form twice for mistakes.
