Resolving the Problem of Effective Communication between different generations
One thing that agreeable by both the generations and is related to the respect element among human beings at work place which is absent now days. The older generation thinks the younger workers of today are lazy and disrespectful. On the other hand, the younger generations think the older workers are stuck in their ways and too closed-minded. Although the differences exist they should work together for productivity and success. If they let their generational outlooks get in the way, conflict will result. Hence overcoming the difference is the only solution available; and to overcome those following are some of the tips.
Understanding other's preferences[/b]
The new and old gen likes to have a face to face communication, & have consensus on various topics that plug in. Avoiding conflicts; having meetings online is what they like the most, there are no debauched in having meetings online; it’s often seen they dislike being on teams and prefer to work alone. It is not always that every generation thinks in the same manner; there lies to be difference in behavior and attitude and the one thinks; however knowing the generalities is a great first step.
Spending more time [/b]
Simply understanding each other's preferences is one thing; and actually spending time with each other thus learning from the person. Compromises are such thing that everyone learns when being in company. The younger person will need to employ patience during the training, and the older person will need to keep an open mind to the new technology.
