As we all know that Amul has many manufacturing units all over India like at Mumbai, Sikkim, Himmat Nagar, Mehasana, Gandhinagar, Anand, Rajkot, and so on…
These manufacturing units get raw materials from various small village levels co-operative. The raw material i.e. milk in this case is then set to Amul where processing of milk takes place and it is converted into butter, milk powder, chocolates, etc.
The final product is then marketed through GCMMF. Over here the village level co-operative and the processing units keep on changing depending upon the location but the source that remains constant is GCMMF. It is the link that connects various village level co-operatives and processing units located in different state.
