What is PREP?
PREP is a practice-oriented program for budding
entrepreneurs who are on the verge of starting a new
venture and for early stage entrepreneurs who are seeking
clarity on aspects of their existing ventures.
The program is designed to provide exposure to crucial
aspects of the entrepreneurship experience.
In assessing the environment and the business, participants
will learn to understand the various risks their venture may
face. From the phase of evaluating a business idea to the
launch of the business and a growth strategy, participants
are introduced to the realities of entrepreneurship.
The program is designed to provide useful models and
frameworks to the participants which are complemented
with practical advice and guidelines, provide participants
with a solid foundation to launch and then fne tune their
own businesses.
Who is PREP for?
iSEED’s Professional Entrepreneurship Program is for
aspiring , current and growth entrepreneurs who would like
to take on entrepreneurship and new venture creation; or
who would like assistance in formulating, developing and
commercializing/scaling their enterprises.
The Need for PREP
Often it has been seen that potential entrepreneurs
have ideas which are underdeveloped. And even existing
entrepreneurs can face this challenge, while they have
thoroughly ideated, business owners can get stuck in
devising a sustainable growth strategy which can be
implemented effectively.
This is further compounded by the lack of dedicated learning
opportunities for entrepreneurs to resolve these teething
issues in their new ventures. PREP is designed to fulfll this
glaring gap in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Program Takeaways
Through PREP, iSEED will deliver a unique handholding
experience that will help participants in acquiring the
knowledge, skills and attitude for realizing their dream of
becoming successful entrepreneurs. Specifc problems
ranging from ideation, teaming, funding, to growth strategy
are focused in the program.

PREP is a 12-week program designed for interaction
twice every week

A longer interaction is planned on weekends, as the
workload is largely focused towards the weekend

The weekday session is of shorter duration and is
focused towards applied learning

Start Up Clinics
A variety of specializations are offered based on identifed
potential areas where entrepreneurs run into roadblocks.
Minimum requirement for a specialization module to be

Marquee Speaker Series
The part of the program provides an opportunity to interact
with domain experts at regular intervals in the 12-week
period. This interaction allows the participants to learn from
the experience of the speakers
Design: Three modules
Assessment Module Foundational Module Clinics Module
– This module starts with introductions
of the institute, its faculty and the
participants. We also undertake the
alignment of participant expectation
with program| objectives.
– An introduction to the venture
assessment framework, discussion and
its understanding is facilitated with live
examples.
– Participants will present the
assessment of their ventures based
on the ideation framework. Panel
assessment and guidance is provided.
– Time allocated: 10 hours spread over
two weeks
– The foundation module attempts to
give basic concepts necessary for
understanding and applying them to
the participants’ ventures or ideas.
– Every week a functional area is
covered. One session will cover theory
and frameworks and another will
be dedicated to application, where
participants will apply it on their
ventures or ideas. The iSEED panel will
review and guide.
– Interaction with experts from a variety
of disciplines is done
– Time allocated: 25 hours spread over
fve weeks
– Clinics module has choice of electives.
These electives are specializations
– The minimum requirement for one
specialization in terms of number of
participants is three. A participant can
opt for fve specializations.
– The frst session covers theory,
supported by live examples.
– The second session is application
oriented, and participants will it on their
ventures or ideas. The iSEED panel will
review and guide..
– Time allocated: 25 hours spread over
fve weeks
Mentorship
The program provides for dedicated mentorship to the
participants for the duration of the program from the
pool of practitioners and academics. Participants are
encouraged to make use of this opportunity in addition
to the program schedule.
Details on mentor matching and schedule of interactions
with them mentors will be shared with the commencement
of the course.
Program Capstone
The grand fnale of PREP leads into the presentation to a
panel of experts including domain specialists, investors and
iSEED practitioners. The participants pitch their business to
receive an on-the-ground feedback on their progress and also
receive an in-depth assessment of their market readiness.
Methodology
l
The program’s methodology is largely based on
Continuous Learning by Enlightened Doing and utilizes
a combination of idea projects, case evaluations, small
group discussions, workshops, panels, and lectures.
l
Since peer-learning is an integral part of an
entrepreneurial culture, iSEED endeavors to get a diverse
cohort to enrich the participant experience.
l
This innovative program provides exposure to the
practical aspects of identifying, evaluating, and moving
business ideas forward. The program brings participants
face-to-face with successful entrepreneurs, innovators,
and subject matter experts from the entrepreneurial
ecosystem for learning as well as networking.

Batch Size
The maximum batch size for the program is 16.
Post Program Support
Recognizing the need to handhold the participants into
implementation of the learning from PREP into their venture,
iSEED offers up to three consultations with the members of
the faculty for a period of two months after the completion
of the program.
A minimum of ffteen days gap is mandatory between two
consultations.
Award of Certifcates
Participants who complete the program satisfactorily
and meet the attendance requirements will be awarded
certifcates of successful completion of the program.
They would also hold the honor of being the frst formal
batch of PREP and a longterm access to the institution’s
growing network and knowledge resources.

On submission of admission form a link is e mailed to
the candidate’s instantly , once the admission form is
processed.

An assessment is done based on a series of descriptive
questions which have to be answered and submitted
online by all candidates
l
Shortlisted applications will be invited for an interaction.
l
On offer for admission is made subsequent to the
interaction based on the assessment of the panel.

Meritorious Students

iSEED endeavours to provide an opportunity to maximum
number of interested participants to be selected for the
program and will follow a rolling admission process till
June 07, 2015.

iSEED offers scholarships and opportunity for
sponsorships through donor organizations to meritorious
students .

Introduction
The Indian School of Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development
(iSEED) is a pioneering initiative committed to helping aspiring
and young entrepreneurs fulfll their potential. We use the best
of time-tested and innovative learning processes, enriched with
an interdisciplinary curriculum and dynamic content, developed
collaboratively by visionary academicians and successful
entrepreneurs from across the globe.
In the year 2013, a small group of academics and successful
entrepreneurs, each emerging from divergent paths became
a confluence of a shared dream, sincerely debating over a
way to bring a relevant and novel kind of education into the
world of entrepreneurs. Driven by a compelling philosophy that
‘entrepreneurs by nature are endowed with the potential to bring
novel solutions to emerging problems howsoever complex’,
these thought leaders united in their desire to harness such
limitless potential of aspiring entrepreneurs. Building on their
own broad learnings, they developed a unique methodology and
curriculum that could be highly effective for entrepreneurs.
It was envisioned that iSEED will nurture youthful entrepreneurs

Dr. Harsh Mishra
Entrepreneurship & Business Strategy
For most of his career, Harsh has taught
entrepreneurship and business strategy
and mentored several student ventures
and initiatives working as a faculty at the
State University of New York, University of
Alabama, Temple University, MDI Gurgaon and other institutions in
US and India.
He has also mentored several entrepreneurs, startups, and internal
ventures of MNCs in New York region. He led various committees
and innovation groups of the Mid-Hudson Technology Council
with the mission to ignite a Culture of Innovation and enable
new ventures beneft from the entrepreneurial ecosystem of
enterprising business leaders, R&D centres¸ and policy makers of
New York.
Harsh has a Ph.D from the Fox School of Business (USA), Masters’
from IIFT and SPA New Delhi, and BTech from IIT Delhi.
Deepak Pandit
Strategy, Technology Management &
Entrepreneurship
Deepak has completed his doctoral thesis
from MDI Gurgaon in the area of Innvovation
management and is a senior industry
professional with general management
experience. He has taught entrepreneurship, innovation and
technology courses at B-schools in Delhi NCR including the new
IIMs. Deepak is Co-Founder at iSEED, In-charge of Program Delivery,
Program Director (PREP), incubation, institution development,
teaching and research. In his entrepreneurial journey, Deepak
heads the education practice at his venture PRACSTRATs. As an
industry practitioner, Deepak specialises in market development
for high technology products and services, having worked with
organizations like HCL, Motorola, Intel and global start-ups like Gilat
Satellite Networks and Satellite Technology Management (STM).
His publications include a teaching case on entrepreneurship,
accepted by Harvard Publishing.
Deepak is graduate of the frst full time batch from BIMTECH Delhi
and holds frst class graduate degree in commerce honours from
University of Delhi.
Sidharth Tripathy
Business Modeling and Innovation
Sidharth Tripathy is a Co-Founder and the
Chief Evangelist at iSEED, He is also the
Program Director of Startup Resource
Enablement Program (STREP). Sidharth
Tripathy is himself a serial entrepreneur
since 2003 having launched two global ventures successfully.
Sidharth has also had a decade long corporate career spanning
multiple verticals with global organizations like Fresenius, GE and
FedEx. Sidharth’s area of focus is Startup Brand Equity Creation
and Business Modeling.
He is an Electronics Engineer and a Masters degree holder from
Harvard University with special focus on Educational Innovation
& Social Entrepreneurship. He is an ultra-marathoner and believes
every startup should be conceptualized and built for the long run.
Arun Gupta
Marketing
Arun is in the core executive team at iSEED
and a faculty of Marketing. An MBA from IIM
Lucknow and a BTech from IIT Kharagpur,
Arun comes with nearly two decades of
international sales and marketing experience
in the telecom industry with companies like Motorola and GTL.
He has led large sales teams focused on both domestic and
international markets.

investor, mentor as well as an entrepreneur. His angel investments
have been in number of sectors such as online gaming, education,
clean energy, Internet of things to broader areas in ICT. He also holds
a Masters in International Business from the IIFT, New Delhi and a
Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from College of Engineering,
Guindy (Chennai).
Ramesh is a member of the Advisory Board and a faculty at iSEED.
Samir Shah
Investor Preparedness
An active investor in early stage companies,
with investments in clean energy, technology,
water, education and health-care. Samir is an
MBA from Wharton School of Business and
has experience in global fnancial markets for
over 27 year across various frms, including Goldman Sachs, in New
York and Hong Kong.
Samir sits in the Investment Committee and is a member of the
Advisory Board at Contrarian Funds, an early stage investment frm.
He is also a member of the Selection Council at Venture Nursery, an
angel backed accelerator based in Mumbai.
Samir also serves as a Director with Waaree Energies Limited, a
leading solar energy company in India and on the Capital Markets
Committee at the Indian Merchants Chamber, Mumbai.
He is trained as a Chartered Accountant and a lawyer prior to
completing his MBA at Wharton.
Samir is a member of the Advisory Board and a faculty at iSEED.
K.C. Jacob

Advisor
Jacob has a diverse and cross functional
leadership experience of over three
decades in marketing, strategic planning
and consumer behaviour across retail
fnance, luxury retail, consumer goods and media. He has
worked with leading organizations like the Taj Group of Hotels,
Hotline, Reader’s Digest, Media Transasia, TOI & the Muthoot
Group. His forte is market acquisition, business turnaround and
strategic Growth coupled with Branding, Communication and
Business planning.
He is a Core team member at iSEED playing the roles of Head-
Corporate Relations, Program Director (WEP) & Mentor.
Bhagwat Yagnik
Bhagwat has had an exceptional
impact as an HR professional in the
area of human behavior, organization
building and cultural transformation in
India. He has extensive experience in
leadership roles at fast growing Indian
multinationals such as Sun Pharma, Ranbaxy and Suzlon. For
over three decades, he has endured to design the ultimate
‘predictable organizational architecture’ while preserving the
result-driven distinctiveness of the enterprise
He is a visiting practitioner to iSEED and teaches organization
building.
Prajakt was previously a part of the founding team of The Hatch
for Startups, where he established the brand as a leading player
in the early-stage entrepreneurial eco-system in India. Prajakt was
the face of The Hatch, and as its executive director, created the
outreach programs, deal flow management processes, productized
the offering for portfolio companies and built meaningful
partnerships with relevant stakeholders.
Prasanna Singh
Digital Expert
Prassana heads operations at Banyan
Netfaqs Pvt Limited as COO and Publisher.
He is responsible for revenues ct across all
its products, and related areas like events,
special projects, etc. He is associated as
a well-wisher and advisor with Bookaroo Litfest, India’s biggest
literature festival for children and an advisor at HRkatha.com, a
fresh portal focused on the HR community and practices.
He has done his MBA from FMS, University of Delhi. He loves the
occasional opportunity to share and teach the fresh perspectives.
Sandeep Gupta- Operations & Supply
Chain
Education Management
He is Head(HR) at Punchh. Punchh is
a mobile CRM company based out of
California, US. He was previously Director
at Adena IT Solutions, which is an e-voting
company, with a focus on the medical fraternity. He teaches
strategy and operations management at institutes in NCR, Delhi
and is a visiting faculty at the Institute of Management Technology,
Ghaziabad. Sandeep is an engineer from NIT Jaipur and graduate
in management from Thuderbird , USA . He is currently pursuing his
PhD from IIFT, Delhi.
Ranjit Shastri
Funding for Success
Ranjit Shastri is a management consultant,
entrepreneur and angel investor. He
also serves as a member of the Review
Committee of the IIT Incubator at the Indian
Institute of Technology, New Delhi.
He has served on the boards of several companies, including
that of Vickers Systems India, a subsidiary of Eaton Corporation,
and continues to serve on the boards of several IT and IT-enabled
services companies like SmartAnalyst and Design Presentation
Associates.
He is an investor in at least a dozen early stage ventures, and the
joint venture partner in India for X-PM, a leading European project
and interim management company.
He has served as the Executive Director of the Indian Venture
Capital Association and co-founded PSi, an advisor to foreign
investors, including venture capital frms, private equity frms,
limited partners and strategic investors.
He earned an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School
of Business, and a B.Sc. in applied mathematics from Yale
University. He continues to work closely with Yale in expanding its
engagement with India.
Prajakt Raut
Business Planning & Entrepreneurship
Prajakt is an entrepreneur and
entrepreneurship evangelist. Prajakt’s
personal goal in life is to encourage
and assist a 100,000 people to become
entrepreneurs. He helps startups understand
the dynamics of business, and assists them in developing
meaningful business plans. He mentors startups on strategy,
business model & monetization, fundraising and on preparing the
company for growth.
