Allows MNC’s to take lower profile in sensitive political situations.

Lower salaries paid to HC Managers.



Disadvantages.

HCN have limited opportunities to gain experience.

Cannot progress beyond senior positions in their own subsidiaries.

Gap formed between host country & parent country managers
