Clear Channel Communications, Inc. is an American media conglomerate company headquartered in San Antonio, Texas.[2] It was founded in 1972 by Lowry Mays and Red McCombs, and specializes in radio broadcasting, concert promotion and hosting, and fixed advertising in the United States through its subsidiaries. After 21 years, Mark Mays stepped down as President and CEO of Clear Channel on June 23, 2010.[3] Mays will remain as Chairman of the Board, a position he has held for a year prior. The Board has engaged Egon Zehnder International, a leading executive search firm, to lead the search for a new CEO.

Clear Channel is the largest owner of full-power AM, FM, and shortwave radio stations and twelve radio channels on XM Satellite Radio, and is also the largest pure-play radio station owner and operator. The group was in the television business until it sold all of its TV stations to Newport Television in 2008.

The term "clear channel" comes from AM broadcasting, referring to a channel (frequency) on which only one station transmits. In U.S. and Canadian broadcasting history, "clear channel" (or class I-A) stations had exclusive rights to their frequencies throughout most of the continent at night, when AM stations travel very far due to skywave. WOAI in San Antonio, Clear Channel's flagship station, was such a station.

it has been recognized in resulting studies that organizations has the propensity to release employees on account of uncooperative character. This indicates that a large number of employees are discharged from service as a consequence of punitive actions forced on them. This may have been implicated by the increase of collective bargaining agreement involving labor unions and the organization. Therefore, greater fortification is given to the workers in discharges that rise from ineptitude and lack of skill. These set of data alone, the occurrence and high likelihood of employee discharge in the organization influences the actions or the workers. They either develop their behavior or avoid what is deemed as unscrupulous, or they seek remedy from labor rules to defend their individual jobs.

The business unit should conduct regular training activities. This strategy will not only uphold and accordingly perk up the skill levels of the workers it will similarly assist in redesigning the present attitudes of the workers with respect to the diversity in the company. (Miller 1994, 17) The indecisive character of the operations as well as the culture in the recently formed business unit, it is sensible for the company to perform training programs. It will serve as a way to re-accustom the employees on their particular jobs and probably the additional responsibilities in the organization. Hence, this provides an instrument to administer the course of knowledge and decrease disarray and confusion in the organization. (Gabriel 2003, 32) This could as well be an increase in the confidence and motivation levels of the workers. Maume (1999, 1433) pointed out that these could add to the employees’ pursuit to income augmentation and career growth.
