On-going Harassment -Bringing down the Company's Equity in the Market

There’s one thing which is of serious concern at workplace and when not paid attention can have serious consequences ahead with disruption of office atmosphere for sure. Here I am speaking about the harassment that is experienced by few in the organization. But those few are more than enough to create negative word of mouth for the organization. Hence it is the moral responsibility of the organization to take care of the company environment and its culture. Harassment can be of two types at workplace. One perpetrated by a manger or supervisor that effects an employment decisions as regards recruiting that poke nose in the work of an employee thus affecting the performance of the employee. The very common form of harassment with which we all are aware of is of sexual harassment, wherein a supervisor asks for favors in return for an employment benefit. Second type is of workplace harassment wherein an employee experiences hostile and displeasing work environment; such should be reported immediately to the management. Another form is harassment at workplace where an employee is forced to comply with organizational code of conduct which is a prerequisite for employment. However harassment in any form can break the organizational image in the corporate world. Hence to avoid legal issues it is important to have strict discipline in place
