The purpose of this forum is to help MICAspirants discuss their queries among themselves and with MICA students. This group will also be used for making important announcements related to admissions.
This year the admission process consists of two stages:
Stage I: The MICAT stage: Students who have appeared for any of the following exams – CAT 2013, XAT (2013, 2014), GMAT (2010 onwards), ATMA 2013, CMAT (Sept 2013), MAT (Feb, May, Sept, Dec 2013), will be allowed to take MICAT 2014
Stage II: The GE/PI stage: On the basis of their performance in the MICAT only, students will be shortlisted to appear for the Group Exercise and Personal Interview stage (held in the MICA campus)
Aspirants with a Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent qualification recognized by the Association of Indian Universities), who have appeared in CAT 2013/XAT2013/XAT 2014/
MAT 2013(Feb/May/Sept/Dec) /CMAT 2013 (Sept)/ATMA 2013 (Feb/May/July)/GMAT (2010 onwards), irrespective of their scores are eligible to apply and appear in MICA's Admissions Test : MICAT 2014.
Candidates will be shortlisted for Group Exercise & Personal Interview on campus, solely based on their performance in MICAT. The exam will be held at 12 centres, across India in end-Feb/March 2014.
MICAT is a validated, multi-dimensional examination which assesses a candidate in areas that are crucial and relevant to a career in Communications Management, such as:
- Divergent thinking abilities
- Written Communication abilities
- General awareness about contemporary social and industry issues, including areas around media, marketing, advertising and business
- Analytical and verbal abilities
- Psychometric profiling to assess the fit of the aspirant to career in areas of communication management
