“So when’s your last day again?”
I pause for a moment, hoping that by delaying the answer I also delay the inevitable truth that I’ve hoped would never come. Being an intern means that a semester of school and classes are waiting for me back in the Mumbai City. It will be exciting to be back at work at school, but I still need some time to context switch, if you know what I mean!
There are so many things to look back upon this summer, and there’s no denying that the people I worked with make a large part of the powerful experience that comes with working at Reliance ADAG. Everyone at Reliance works to make things better for their users.
Still I can remember, 2nd January, 2012- the first day of interview- Goregaon to Koperkhairane, Route no 123 of NMMT. Reached DAKC gate no 1 from Koperkhairane on taxi after paying a huge buck of Rs 300/- just for 1 km.
Conferance Room 3- 'B' Block, my interview venue.
After few minutes, interview started with Regional Head HR. 15 min gone, 30 min.... ooff... a cup of coffee..than again started, after 45 min interview.
I thought "interview eisa hei to kam keisa hoga yaha... god".
Now its the time for Result. waiting.....waiting........
Next day, on College Notice Board, I saw a new notice, its read "Jibon Jyoti Changmai has been selected for doing Summer Internship at Reliance Human Resource Services Pvt Ltd(ADAG)."
Reliance HR Services (RHRS), a part of the Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (RADAG) that needs no introduction.
But, I have to wait till April month...the only thing I can do is counting of remaining days.
9th April, Destination: 'B' Block, DAKC, Navi Mumbai
After collecting the Pass, I continued my walk though a huge greenary campus, really its a City.
And from here, my summer journey started >>>>>>>>>>
The Project which was given to me was "Mapping of Employee Retention Techniques"
Lots of New Joinee with their lots of problem, documentation, interview, maintaining of daily new joinee tracker, Appointment Letter, Exit Formalities, induction program, lunch at 'A' block canteen, bunking working hour, daily crush etc etc.. oooff... From 9-30 to 6-00.
25th June, I can't forget this day only for two reason.
One is, I did retention that day, at least one employee.
Second is its my last day at DAKC.
that day I didn't do anything except a Goodbye Email to my senior colleague.
Dear All,
I wanted to let you know that today is my last day at DAKC. For me Reliance has been a home away from home. Growing with RHRS was fun. I see this journey of a young immature boy who have transformed into a little bit mature person in the course of these 3 months. Met some really wonderful souls. Formed some impregnable bonds and have got tones of memories to cherish forever. I wish you all the best of luck in the future and I truly and deeply thank each and every one of you for all that you have taught me, all that you have given me, and all that you will always mean to me. Though our path diverges but our heart will remain together forever.
Below are my personal details. Do keep in touch.

I clicked the SEND button with tears in my eye.
Officially "Summer Internship" finished.
It was a great voyage of 3 months when I sailed through the ups & downs of the ocean like Reliance ADA Group.
I have worked with some of the most brilliant people I’ve met in my life and yet they were always humble and open to opinions and suggestions from someone like me, who had been in the team just for a few weeks. It is truly amazing how everybody’s opinion is not only respected but taken into serious consideration. This encourages everybody to throw ideas to the table no matter how long you’ve been with the company or how crazy the idea is. It is fantastic.
I’m sad to leave, but school starts soon. As I pack my things all I can do is thank to Team RHRS for an amazing summer.
I came, I saw, I learnt....still waiting to conquer!
