Speaking as a college professor who has taught a wide variety of subjects, including business and computers, I can tell you that I've never personally heard of an M.B.A. with a specialization in the service sector.
Now I'm not saying that it doesn't exist, but it's new to me. There are are different sectors of the economy and perhaps somebody would want a degree more tailored to one over the others.
So instead of getting a concentration in a specific area of study like marketing or management, maybe one wants something a little broader. I do know of degrees with concentrations in the public, meaning government vs. private sector, but service is a new one to me.
