Marketing Environment

  • Environment refers to the situation , surroundings , atmosphere , circumstances within which business activities are to be conducted
  • It has many components like - economical, political , social, technical, demographic, & international.

  • ME creates challenges & opportunities before the business enterprise.
  • ME is the result of various marketing forces such as market competition , introduction of new product, enter of new co. into market , govt. policies in the market.


Features of Marketing Environment

  • It’s a situation in which marketing firms operate.
  • Firms don’t have any control on Marketing environment.
  • ME is always flexible.

  • Firms who changes with the ME only those firm can survive in the long run.
  • Very few changes are favorable ISI marks, change in govt. – BJP, congress, Shivsena etc, increase in literacy rate , consumer awareness.

  • Marketing management is nothing but management of ME
 
Marketing environment is made up of all the factors and forces that influence marketing. These forces can be internal like departments (other than marketing such as finance department and human resource department) or external like competitors, suppliers, economic or political situation.
