Executive Management Programme (EMP)

The Programme

MBAs), U.K. and NBA, AICTE. It's a high-quality Post Graduate Programme in Management for Working Executives aspiring to become architects of performing organizations.

Objective of the Programme

Develop global perspective on various managerial issues.

Develop conceptual knowledge on the subject and behavioral skills of managers.

Enhance entrepreneurial capabilities and business leadership.

Develop collaborative attitudes and sensitivity for group learning and problem solving.

Programme Structure

The 3-year (9-term) Executive Management Programme is at par with the regular PGPM programme (in its coverage and rigour). Each year is divided into four terms. A term is of twelve-week duration. Weekly classes are held on two week days and on Sundays in the first year. Thereafter, classes are held on each day depending upon electives chosen. It is possible to complete the programme in less than three years.

Eligibility

Managers / executives of private and public sector companies and government officers (state and central) located in and around Delhi with: -

3-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline recognized by AIU / AICTE as eligible for Post-Graduate Studies in Management.

Minimum of 3 years of post qualification executive work experience as on September 30, 2008.

Professional qualification, e.g., Engineers, CA, CS, Cost Accountants, Architects, Doctors, etc., would have added advantage.

Selection Criteria

Written Test conducted by MDI on MDI Campus. Successful candidates would be called for Personal Interview / GD on Campus.

How to Apply

The Admission Brochure along with Application Form will be available at MDI Admissions Office between 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on all working days (i.e., except on Saturdays, Sundays, and other holidays). The same may be collected on payment of Rs. 1,600/- by way of cash.

The Application Form can also be downloaded from MDI website. In such cases, the filled-in application form should be sent to MDI Admissions Office along with: -
a) a demand draft of Rs. 1,750/- in favour of Management Development Institute, payable at Gurgaon / New Delhi, and
b) one self-addressed adhesive sticker.

Important Dates

Sale / downloading of forms shall commence on July 15, 2008 and will continue upto August 18, 2008 (by 5:00 pm).

Last date of receipt of filled-in application forms will be August 19, 2008 (by 5:00 pm). Candidates sending filled-in application forms by post / courier may do so sufficiently in advance, so as to comply with the above deadline of August 19, 2008.

Date of Entrance (Written) Test: August 24, 2008 (Sunday).
