Communication is the only thing that can make or break things that people have in common that either be a relationship a contract, an agreement or any damn thing there are four ways to overcome communication barriers and improve your effectiveness as a communicator. Effective communications with your boss, peers, employees, customers, suppliers and other interested parties is essential to your career. It is said that if you want to enhance communication you should listen to others points clearly listening to others points and once you grab those points in mind you can efficiently revert back to the person in front of you with answers to whatever questions you ask. Being in this cruel world, people have forgotten the behavioral norms and the human touch because of the speed efficiency that has taken over human beings. Being a listener is difficult in today’s world because it involves time and patience to do so, hence more tough. Active listening requires using eyes, ears and heart in the process. The eyes to observe body language of the other person, ears to hear the actual words, and the heart to feel the emotion are all involved in effective communications. It is easy to see where "electronic communication" can short-circuit the communication process.

Relationships are often strained or broken by thoughtless words. Careers can be damaged by sending thoughtless messages around a company. When dealing one to one, people are usually more careful to think about what they're saying because of an immediate response to the message being sent.

Admitting a mistake enhances credibility with coworkers and management, indicates a high level of security and confidence in one's abilities, and demonstrates strength as opposed to weakness.

Improving communications and relationships requires that folks quickly and clearly admit mistakes, "clean-up the mess" and move onward and upward.

Organizations and individuals that prosper in today's business environment will focus on improving communication skills and interpersonal relationships. Productivity will increase as a result of improved employee satisfaction.

Communication is not only the responsibility of a sender alone, but the receiver is also equally responsible. A receiver needs to be fully attentive, listen actively and ask for clarification, repetition, wherever required.

Control is an essential part of communication. The passing of information takes place; not only from top to bottom but also from bottom to top with a view to achieve the stated objectives. Hence care should be taken that the passing of information should be such that it does not deviate from the original course.

At each stage, breakdowns can occur – in the encoding of the message, in the transmission of the message, in the decoding state or at the time of understanding by the receiver. Besides, there are a lot of disturbances that affect the movement of communication.

Ending it with a note saying, with whatever efforts you put in to communicate the message to the respective audience there are bound to be obstacles to pop in like the unwanted pop-ups that come up when we surf, the point here is to ensure that the target has understood your message. When you are sure about the indented message to reach the target, than you can say you have done a successful communication or else it’s a failure
