Is work exp. absolutely important for an MBA ?

Personally, I thought it wasn't but after attending various seminars and presentations by the best mba universities, speaking to their alumnus and reading on various blogs, I found out that it IS important. To quote a few alumnus "without work experience, an MBA is a waste of your money and 2 years of your time".. And logically, if an MBA is a practical course, having work experience will help one to add as well as gain more value from high investment in the course, both in terms of time and money.

Work Experience Matters a Lot....

It makes u Practically strong about the aspects u r going to learn theoretically about the Subjects...

It shouldnt be absoloutely mandatory , sure I get the practical aspect of it but most students dont really work while they study , unless ofc theyre in financial need or just too extra-curricular , most graduate without work exp and it's not right to make them wait 2-3 years to get the required qualification , if theyre making it mandatory then they should least use the first 2 years of BMS or BMM programs to facilitate work experience programs.

Well experience is something that is good, but that doesn't guarantee you that you will be good at work. I think company if hiring a fresher should more look into the knowledge and the attitude of the person.
